Gr 1 – Coolmore Stud Stakes Preview

This is a super colt and he looks particularly hard to beat. Won here easily at stakes level, then stepped up to open Gr 1 level and was beaten on the line in the 1200m Manikato. Followed that with a trip to Sydney and was a great 3rd in very fast time on a soft track to Bella Nipotina in the Everest. Loves this trip and has never been beaten at this track. Must be in your numbers.

Is very smart and is also very close to a win. Made ground late when 6th to Southport Tycoon and Growing Empire in the Gr 1 Manikato this trip, then went to Sydney and was an impressive 2nd in the Gr 2 Roman Consul to Switzerland. Sure to be running on.

Gr 1 winning juvenile who was beaten a nose in the Gr 1 Golden Rose last start after winning the Run To The Rose. Was scratched at the gates last time in The Everest. Has worked the house down since. Unbeaten this track also and will be storming home.

Is very smart and hits the line hard. Was a Gr 2 winner and Gr 1 placed during winter then last start when 2nd up stormed home to win the Gr 2 Red Anchor at the Valley from Pisces. This is harder and the 1200m now 3rd up may be a tad short. But has class.

Showed last start with a dominant win over this trip in the Gr 2 Roman Consul over Coleman that he is back to his best. Should appreciate this track and will no doubt loom large over the final 100m.

Goes very well up the straight and has been crying out for this trip. Rattled home when 2nd to Growing Empire over 1100m here 2 starts back. Last start ran faster time to win 1100m here at Gr 2 level beating Reserve Bank. Needs a clear run but he can finish hard and has claims.

Was a boom 2YO but lost some lustre when near last in the Gr 1 Golden Slipper before spell then again beat just one home behind First Settler last start. Needs to improve a great deal but bolted in last week in a barrier trial.

Has a lot of talent but not sure he measures up to Gr 1 level. Beaten a nose as odds on pop in weaker Heritage over 1100m then up to Gr 2 last start and missed a place behind Switzerland this trip. Not keen.

Seems to be getting better with racing and deserves a look at this level following his comfortable win this trip at the Valley then last start 3rd to Lofty Arch in Gothic Stakes this trip on heavy track. Probably lacks top-end speed though as this is harder.

Should struggle in this. Fell in to win a provincial maiden in September and last start at $36 was on speed when fading 3rd to Switzerland in Gr 2 Roman Consul this trip. Not keen.

Big odds when finished hard for 3rd to First Settler over 1100m last start. That was by far his best effort. Not keen.

Has raced only 3 times for one win, but was 4th to Lofty Arch last start. This is considerably harder. Not keen.

Won the Gr 1 Golden Slipper as a baby coming home hard and in 3 runs this time up she has improved and is ready. Charged home late after torrid run for 4th in the Everest to Bella Nipotina. Never raced here but is in peak form and looks one of the major threats.

Is in super form winning the past 3 on the bounce, latest in open WFA Schillaci at Gr 2 level over 1100m beating Oscar’s Fortune. This is harder but knows how to win and does run home hard. Is potent on a wet track. Has claims.
