1. Giga Kick (4)
Looked back to his best when resuming and winning last start. On his day, he is the best sprinter in the land but has struggled over the past two years to reach those heights again. Loves this track too. Chance.

2. Jedibeel (8)
On paper, his form reads poorly: 8th, 4th and 11th at past 3 runs. BUT, he has twice, in defeat, broken 1.09 for this trip. And that makes him a definite place hope at huge odds.

3. Caballus (9)
Ran a stunning race on speed all the way here to win Gr 3 Rising Fast in 1.09.2. Much stronger field this time but is in form and can run with the big dogs as last start time suggests.

4. Libertad (1)
Good sprinter who resumed from spell with a strong finishing effort behind Rothfire in Gr 3 Sydney Stakes running fast time, but disappointed when beaten 2.5lengths by Caballus here last start. Is 3rd up now, which suits, and meets Caballus 2kg better.

5. Tropicus (6)
Is 2nd up here and boasts a fine 2nd up record. Chased home Giga Kick and lost by a length last start. Was making ground at the end, so the extra 100m will suit. was jogging in impressive recent barrier trial. Sure to be in the firing line.

6. Joliestar (7)
Big, big threat. Broke 1.09 here winning the Gr 1 Newmarket earlier this year. Since then has been a constant threat winning at Gr 1 level and last start running an eye-catching 5th to the great Ka Ying Rising in the Gr 1 The Everest in extremely fast time. Runs well here, is in career best form and can run very fast time. Must be in top 2.

7. Magic Time (5)
Resumed from spell to claim the Gr 3 Cockram on a slow track, then ran home hard for 3rd in Gr 1 Manikato before drawing widest and never suited when last in The Everest behind Ka Ying Rising. Even though she was last, she broke 1.09, which makes her a threat. Has won here.

8. Benedetta (10)
Very tough mare who has raced 12 times at Gr 1 level, winning once, placing a few times. Has a new trainer now in Ciaron Maher and gets the services of Melbourne Cup hero Jamie Melham. Can sneak a place as she loves this track.

Good on Soft
9. Flying For Fun (2)
Handy mare but is considered a Gr 3 sprinter at best and will get smashed in this.

Looks the winner. Weighted perfectly and with a clear run is simply too fast for these. Get on.
