1. Autumn Boy (3)
Gr 1 winner who came down the outside with a strong run when resuming and 3rd to Ninja in the Gr 2 Hobartville, was last for home. Start prior had brilliantly beaten a strong field to claim the Gr 1 Caulfield Guineas. Loves this trip, has won 2nd up before and rates very highly.

2. Attica (9)
Finished had along the inside after being near last for home when resuming in the 1400m Hobartville. Is very tough and is also a Gr 1 winner. Will benefit a great deal from that outing and this journey suits him a great deal. Looms large.

3. Ninja (8)
Is the form horse of the moment. Sat on the outside on pace yet powered away to beat most of these in the Gr 2 Hobartville over 1400m. Is very fit and some of the others will improve their fitness. Still, he beat them convincingly and if he runs a strong mile, he rates very highly.

4. Rivellino (5)
Has managed to earn nearly $2million in prizemoney without being a winner or up with the very best. Saying that, he races in all the big events and isn’t ever too far away. Is super fit for this and coming off a solid 5th to Ninja in the Gr 2 Hobartville means he is ready to run a big one here. Place show.

5. Green Spaces (7)
Resumed and raced on speed before weakening out of it in the Gr 2 Hobartville last start in the final 150m. Is smart and will be fitter here but may be a length or so behind the very best of this age.

6. Providence (2)
Interesting runner. Was a strong 5th in the VRC Derby at Gr 1 level last prep, then spelled and resumed with an impressive win at 1300m. This is a rise in grade but he is no mug and could sneak a place at big odds.

7. Decorum (6)
Won past 3 starts in easier grade but his win over a mile last start at the farm in midweek grade was full of merit. Up a long way in class here but he knows how to finish a race off and might be better than we all think.

8. Dusty Bay (1)
Looks the leader and if left alone in front he may, at $201, take some catching. Isn’t as good as a few of these but is NOT a chump either. Great 6th in fast time behind the superstar Tempted when resuming last start. Fitter now.

9. Sheza Alibi (4)
Is probably the most improved 3YO in the land. Last year was beaten in a maiden at Rockhampton, but has gotten better every run since and did win a Gr 2 by 5 lengths last prep this trip. Looked exceptional with powerhouse finishing burst to win a 1200m Gr 2 Armanasco Stakes in fast time when resuming 2 weeks back. Trainer rates her as truly exceptional and that trainer put the polish on Black Caviar. Might just go bang and win this easily. Have in your numbers.
