1. Light Infantry Man (4)
Is very close to being at his absolute top and is a Gr 1 winner. Third up here, after a slashing 3rd in the Gr 1 All-Star Mile behind Tom Kitten and Mr Brightside. Drawn to sit in 3rd until the end and his class will then kick in. Should be rushing hard late and must be in your numbers.

Ready to Fire
2. Attrition (6)
Solid campaigner. Is the type of galloper who will run boldly here. Pace will be on and he can finish hard. Last start rushed home for 2nd in the Gr 2 Blamey over a mile. Is fit and is formidable late and could sneak a place.

Good on Soft
3. Young Werther (10)
Solid stayer who tends to race pretty well while fresh and is 2nd up. Probably be in 4th to the bend chasing a tearaway leader and is going to plug on admirably. Place show though at best.

4. Middle Earth (8)
Lightly raced very talented English galloper. He opened his Aussie account last start in the Australian Cup Prelude and finished very hard from well back to win from Duke de Sessa. Looks to be very smart, has adapted to Australian racing and looms large.

5. Shaiyhar (2)
Has talent and can stay. Did win here in January in good time but carried just 53kg in a BM 100. That’s solid form but may not stack up at WFA. Was a close-up 3rd making ground late to Middle Earth last start. Very rough place hope.

6. Pride Of Jenni (1)
Could not have been any more impressive with her return to racing last start. Went straight to the front from gate rise and just outsped them all to win easily over 1800m in the Gr 2 Peter Young. Different kettle of fish here as Deny Knowledge probably rolls forward and makes her work very hard. Does boast tremendous 2nd up stats though and she should strip fitter. Was beaten a nose in this race last year in very fast time after leading from gate rise. Big show. Likes it wet too.

Proven Winner
7. Atishu (7)
Has been beaten by Pride Of Jenni and has also beaten her – both times they’ve met at Gr 1 level. Loves this track and trip and is ready to run brilliantly. Unlike her rival who should lead, this girl will be out the back biding her time. Will come with a powerful late burst. Big danger as the pace will be on which will suit her.

8. Zardozi (9)
Outstanding mare, very honest. Is a Gr 1 winner here and last start chased home Pride Of Jenni when 2nd in the Gr 2 Peter Young over 1800m. Better suited at this track and trip and should be running on hard. Great chance. Fires up on wet tracks and is extremely fit. Big danger.

9. Deny Knowledge (3)
Drawn to suit and is absolutely flying of late. Won the Gr 1 Caulfield Stakes this trip in good time late last year beating Mr Brightside and Atishu by running them off their legs. Then, last start, when resuming from a spell, ran even faster time this journey under 59.5kg to win the Vic Cup at Caulfield in Feb. Will make it interesting for Pride Of Jenni because she too likes to rip and tear out in the lead. That could well set it up for a backmarker, but she did win 2nd up last prep.

10. Feroce (5)
Very smart 3YO with a Gr 1 win at his most recent start. Finished hard at the end of a mile to run down Kiwi star Savaglee in the Australian Guineas when 2nd up from a spell. So, presumably is fitter now. Will love this solid tempo. Can he run this trip out strongly? He’s never raced at WFA nor has he raced over 2000m. Is honest and can place.
