Gr 1 – Australasian Oaks

It really is hard to go past this filly. She has been mixing it with the superstar Treasurethe Moment at her past few runs and has been the one finishing the closest to her. Likes to lead, that filly is NOT in this and probably just runs away as they swing. Big chance.

Is a really good Victorian filly. Finished like a shot from a rifle when winning the $500k Guineas over a mile then went to Sydney and rushed home late into 2nd spot behind the brilliant Treasurethe Moment in the 2000m Gr 1 Vinery. Is extremely fit and will love this race. Big chance.

Kiwi filly now living in Australia. Was Gr 1 placed in NZ over a mile. Last start looked outstanding when coming from 10th on the home bend to win racing away over a mile at Mornington. This is harder but when she is right she is up to this.

Racing her way into form and better company of late and is going to be a force in this event. Her on pace win at Gr 3 level here last start over 1800m confirms that. May have to sit a length back of Too Darn Lizzie but she’s bred to run this out strongly.

Has talent and has placed at past 2 starts in Group company. Has also learned to sit off speed which has helped her results. Trip may be a worry but she will be on speed and making things interesting for some time.

Getting fitter with racing and 3rd up here looks perfect, however did finish near last in the Gr 1 VRC Oaks last November. Can run on so place at very best.

Is very fit, has drawn well, although she does get a long way back in the run, and is Gr 2 placed. All those things suggest she runs boldly here. last start was doing best work late when beaten just over 2 lengths by Cinch in the Gr 3 Auraria over 1800m. May sneak a place at big odds.

Should develop into a good stayer and her maiden win over 1600m 2 runs back was a tip top effort. However, sobered up in the Gr 3 last start 10th to Cinch. This should test also.

In form and talented Sydney filly who is very fit. Badly drawn here so probably rolls forward looking for a spot but is in career best form. Up in class a tad in this but will give a sight if she finds cover early.

Probably eases back from this draw early, although saying that, did win her Benalla maiden by 12 lengths, leading all the way. Terrific run to just miss in the Gr 3 behind Cinch last start and suited this journey.

Was stakes placed here 2 starts back at $41 in a much weaker race. Thrashed behind Cinch last start and not keen.

Lightly raced and shows promise but is just out of maiden grade and this will test.

Looks to have a staying future but Gr 1 level at this stage is a stretch. Ran above herself to be beaten 3 lengths in the Gr 3 Auraria behind Cinch. Not keen.

Doesn’t seem to want to be a racehorse at the moment. Not keen.

Probably drives forward and isn’t without talent although still a maiden after 6 runs. Will feel the pinch late.

Wouldn’t win this with a head start.
