Gr 1 – All Star Mile

Couldn’t have been more impressive when resuming last start and dashing away in the straight late over 1400m. This is a little harder but he looks to have improved a length or two on the old version of Tom Kitten and did run fast time last start. Therefore, I suspect he races enormously. Will be back in 5th spot, one off the fence with cover. Excels this trip and should finish hard. Big threat.

Rarely wins these events but is always in the finish. Will get back like he did last start when resuming in the Gr 1 Futurity over 1400m before flashing home into 2nd spot behind Pericles. Has an enormously good record 2nd up and loves this trip. Look for him late as he should be mowing them down.

Is capable of beating these but his best run over the past 6 months was when 2nd here in Gr 1 Turnbull. Is 2nd up here and has a great 2nd up record. Place show.

Never seems to run a bad race and is well up to this. Winner this trip and last start when resuming, moved up to win the 1400m Futurity at Gr 1 level, but wilted final 75m for close 4th. Should be up in about 3rd presuming Pride Of Jenni takes off, and can be in the finish.

Is in form but to be honest he isn’t up to this. Past 2 starts have been stakes wins in Hobart. Looks tested.

West Aussie Gr 1 winner who is 2nd up here. Has a good 2nd up record. On slowest part of track when a brave 6th, beaten 3 lengths last start, in the Gr 1 Futurity behind Pericles. This is no easier and may struggle late.

Interesting runner. Is unbeaten when 2nd up, and is 2nd up here after a solid 2nd behind Cafe Millenium over 1400m making ground late. That’s weaker grade than this but they ran fast time. I can’t see him beating these but will be competitive.

If the best version of her turns up, she wins easily. Resumes here. Last prep, she beat Treasurethe Moment home winning the Gr 2 Feehan this trip. Recently won a barrier trial. No doubt heads to the front from gate rise. If they let her go, she wins.

Star Gr 1 galloper who last prep, won a 1400m race worth $2million when 2nd up. Is 2nd up here after a strong finishing 5th to the champion Autumn Glow in the Gr 2 Apollo. Goes well over a mile and Hughie rides so should finish very hard late. Place show.

Resumed last start in the Gr 1 Futurity over 1400m and was taken straight to the front from gate rise. Led at a fast pace, was ridden like she was the best horse in the race, which she was, but after kicking off the home bend, was run down on the line by Pericles and Buckaroo. Has a great 2nd up record and will have a bunny to chase here once Pride Of Jenni takes off early. Fitter now, has an imposing record at this track and can be forgiven for failing last start.

Loves this trip and her effort when resuming in the Gr 1 Futurity last start when 5th was first rate. Last 600m was very fast. Got back to last early and was beaten just over a length. Is a Gr 1 winner in NZ and is a Gr 1 placegetter in Australia. Is ready to run the race of her life.
