1. Antino (1)
Top class on his day and loves it when fresh. Resumes here. Tony Gollan wouldn’t be bringing him here from Queensland first up if he wasn’t ready for a killing. Drawn the rails, will be in about 5th all the way and if the track is fair, he can finish very hard. Big show.

2. Briasa (4)
Is the rising star in Australian sprinting ranks and looked the goods running super fast time after being on pace and a tad wide throughout in the Gr 1 TJ Smith over 1200m last start. Distance shouldn’t prove a worry. Looks bullet proof and should be storming home.

3. Desert Lightning (5)
Always a threat in events. Resumes here. Probably gets back a bit but has 1600m ability at top level so should be running on.

4. Jimmysstar (6)
he’s interesting. Mainly because he has the talent and finishing power to win this, but, historically he doesn’t perform well at all when 4th up. And, yep, he’s 4th up in this. Was a huge run when closing at the rate of knots from last when 4th in the Gr 1 TJ behind Briasa. Last 400m sectionals were off the chart. Was in front 30m past the post. On that form he’s a huge threat but 4th up syndrome….

5. My Oberon (14)
Very smart on his day but is starting to get on a bit. Resumes here and goes well fresh. Has top Gr 1 form behind him but has never won at this trip. Place show.

6. Osipenko (11)
Good, solid front-running handicap horse who will find this hard at WFA. Resumes here too.

7. Sunshine In Paris (13)
Was never really comfortable or in close when a game but laborious 8th, beaten 2 lengths, behind Briasa in Gr 1 last start. Has won this trip, is 3rd up here but again drawn wide. Propbably goes to near the rear and can rush home late.

8. Belclare (2)
Won a barrier trial recently but past 4 starts have been weak. Not keen.

9. Magic Time (7)
Got stuck on the slower part of the track when a battling close up 7th to Briasa last start. Is better suited this journey and sits about 4th in a good spot util they turn. Has claims.
10. Joliestar (9)
Another on wrong part of the track in the Gr 1 TJ. was following magic Time and stayed behind her all the way. Is a different horse when allowed to find clear air and will get that this time. Can finish hard.

11. Kimochi (10)
Will be very hard to hold out. Is 3rd up here and is already a Gr 1 winner this journey. Was finishing with gusto when close up 5th to Briasa in the Gr 1 TJ. Likes this journey even more. Will be hard to beat.

Ready to Fire
12. Benedetta (8)
Gr 1 winner who is 4th up here and has been knocking on the door this prep. Hit the line hard when a closing 2nd in the Gr 1 William Reid over 1200m last start beating Jimmysstar home. Will get under the radar here and is sure to be coming home hard. Loves a fast track.

Ready to Fire
13. Grail Seeker (12)
Star Kiwi sprinter who has won at Gr 1 level this trip in super fast time and did with the coveted Gr 1 Telegraph over 1200m in fast time also. Resumes here and is very smart while fresh. Should run boldly.

14. Broadsiding (3)
Is a 3YO but is the champion of his age group. Last start, over unsuitable 2000m, he lasted to win the Gr 1 Rosehill Guineas over subsequent runaway Gr 1 winner Aeliana. Swift Falcon was 3rd and that horse should win today also. So, form is brilliant. But what a training effort this would be to come back in open grade WFA Gr1 and win at 1400m. Gets the gun draw here so will be just off the speed. Big show.
