Sticking with the consistent mare TREASURETHE MOMENT to get back onto the winners board in the Champions Mile. She was very brave in the W.S.Cox Plate and maybe just looked that one run short when she weakened over the concluding stages behind Via Sistina and Buckaroo. Back to the mile, further fitness on her side and she simply loves the Flemington course.

Hard to go past VIA SISTINA to finish this prep with a win in the Champions Stakes. She has won the W.S.Cox Plate again this year and she looks ideally placed to put two wins together and add another Group 1 to her resume. Another outstanding campaign and she can make it two Champions Stakes in a row.

From the low draw, WARBY looks to have a very good chance to get another win on the board. He should camp either behind the leader or three back the fence and be able to conserve plenty of energy. All he will need on straightening is some luck in running but with the in form Angela Jones on-board, she should be able to steer a clear path last 200m. Watch for him to finish over the top of them.

No reason why EPIC PROPORTIONS cannot win again from the soft barrier draw in the last at Eagle Farm. Last start Tahlia Fenton let him bowl along out in front and he put pay to them easily. Although up significantly in weight, expect a similar ride, if not just in behind the leader. He won with a big weight at Caulfield back in August coming from behind, so the weight and pattern should be no issue. Looks a good each-way investment.

SUPER SMINK looked the blackbooker out of the Crawford Stakes when he came from well back at the corner to rush home late, going down by less than a length at the finish to Rope Me In. She has a solid second-up record and should be suited with the step up in trip to the 1400m for the Group 2 Lee Steere in preparation, for another tilt in a few weeks time at the Railway Stakes.
