MOIR STAKES

The Valley Race 9 (1000m) 4:50 pm

Sticking with BARAQIEL in the Group 1 Moir Stakes. He was given a gem of a ride by Ben Allen last time when winning this track first-up and should strip even fitter for that run. Although may be looking for a little more ground, the pace should be on with plenty of leaders in the race and he should be able to get a cart into the race. Expect he will be finding the line well and could be the one swooping all over them late.

Chautauqua Stakes

THE VALLEY Race 5 (1200m) 2:25 pm

ANGEL CAPITAL has had a few issues since winning the Autumn Stakes at Caulfield last preparation but looked right on track for his return with a trial win at Randwick 19/8 and a tick over trial at Rosehill a week ago. He should get a cosy trip in behind the speed and look for Damien Lane to navigate a passage on straightening for home. He should be strong to the line and prove hard to stop.

BM90 Handicap

Doomben Race 7 (1200m) 3:28 pm

BUNKER HUT looks to be one of the better bets on the card at Doomben. Venturing north after two solid runs at Rosehill recently, they generally are very hard to beat in Brisbane. He makes his own luck sitting in the first few usually and with the 3kg claim for Jace McMurray, he looks to be extremely well in and suited in a BM90 event.

Class 6 Plate

DOOMBEN Race 8 (1350m) 4:07 pm

Really liked the run of NAVAL TRADER who ran a narrow second to Nettuno last time out after coming from well back in the field to just miss. He has a superb second-up record and track/distance stats are in his favour. He should get a comfortable run from the draw and look for this grey boy to be storming home over them late.

Rating 66+ Handicap

BELMONT Race 8 (1600m) 4:25 pm

AUTUMN REBEL finished too well to win here three weeks back. He stays at the trip and drops a kilo in weight for that effort, so he looks very well suited to be able to put two together. From the low draw, he will likely sit in the first half of the field and find the line strongly. Looks hard to beat.
