Sticking with TREASURETHE MOMENT to bounce back here in the Group 1 Might And Power after going down to Pride Of Jenni at The Valley last week. She looked great first-up winning The Memsie and she wouldn’t have lost many followers after giving her all with that gutsy placing last start. She should take further benefit from that outing and third-up she can return to winners stall. The danger Buckaroo is having to give her 3kgs and she may just out sprint him from the corner.

Settled at one at odds in Caulfield Guineas in NEPOTISM to improve off his last couple of runs and take out this Group 1 for the Hawkes camp. He won the 1600m Champagne Stakes at Randwick at his final run of his first campaign and has not got into the race at two runs back. Last start the race was a leader dominated affair, so it may pay to forgive that one. Likely to be speed on in this, so looking at Nepotism to be able to run on late at a nice each-way price.

Prepared to give OUROBOROS one last chance to redeem himself after going down as an odds on pop last time at Doomben. Gets the good draw and should be all the fitter for those two runs back this time in. Will likely be the leader or race right on speed and from there, should be looking the winner at some point down the straight. 

TAVS was a very impressive winner a fortnight ago of the Weetwood Handicap at Toowoomba when he came from back in the field at the corner and ran away to win by over 4 lengths. Goes up 3kgs for that run but this seems to be an easier assignment, so if he can reproduce that effort second-up, he should prove hard to beat.

ELITEONE beat the ultra-impressive Immortal Bliss last time at Belmont Park and although he has drawn off the track in this, he usually does get back into the field and should be swooping upon them once they straighten for home. Looks like a good way to finish off the day’s racing.
