Racing writer, JUSTIN DEVINE, looks at tonight’s meetings and singles out his top three greyhound racing tips for The Meadows, Wentworth Park and Cannington. Good luck, punters!

The Meadows R7 – Group 1 Rookie Rebel 600m

20:35 (AEST)

The Group 1 Rookie Rebel looks a terrific race. MEPUNGA ISLA (2) won at Group 2 level in Brisbane last month and is drawn to find the rails first tonight. From there she can lead or sit just behind the lead and will be hard to catch. She is two from two over the 600m at The Meadows and the $5.5 is a great price. FERNANDO CAZZ (3) defeated MEPUNGA ISLA at Sandown Park last start but did have the advantage of box 1 on that occasion, whereas she jumps from 3 here. Can she cross MEPUNGA ISLA? I don’t think so! The pair should battle out the finish.

 Tip: MEPUNGA ISLA @ $5.5

Wentworth Park R7 – Mixed 3/4 520m

21:02 (AEST)

ZIPPING SAPPORO (1) won the Group 1 Futurity last start and is chasing her fourth straight Wentworth Park win. From box 1 she finds the lead and that should be all she wrote! Bad luck looks her only danger. ROYAL EMGRAND (4) has won four from five at the track and distance and will be finishing strongly back in the field. He can add some value into exotics.

Cannington R3 – Puppy Classic Heat 1 520m

22:52 (AEST)

The first heat of the Puppy Classic looks like a match race between the perfectly drawn OUR SEABROOK (1) and the unbeaten WEST ON BRAE (2). OUR SEABROOK was beaten by the wide box draw last time. Prior to that, she was a 7+ length winner from box 2. I expect her to find the front and lead all the way. WEST ON BRAE has led all the way in all his three wins and will be hard to catch if he finds the early lead. I think OUR SEABROOK can hold him out early and that will be the difference.

Tip: OUR SEABROOK @ $2.4
