Geelong R7 – Mixed 4/5 460m
FORTUNA BALE (1) uncharacteristically missed the start as a $1.40 favourite last week and finished well back. She has won over the track and distance and saluted at his previous Geelong box 1 start. The $3+ on offer looks like an overreaction and I’m happy to forgive one poor run. Expect her to lead all the way. LOTS OF CHATTER (8) has been ultra-consistent of late and has the speed to sit outside the leader. He is the danger.
Tip: FORTUNA BALE @ $3.40
Mandurah R3 – Non – Graded 405m
Ex-Victorian GLOBAL TRADER (3) led all the way on his Western Australian debut and will strip fitter for his first up run. Trained by the canny Cosi Dagostino he will progree through the grades quickly and can make it back to back wins for the new kennel. TRENT MONELLI (5) won well on debut and will keep the favourite honest, despite drawing the squeezebox. The pair can space their rivals.
Richmond R11 – Grade 5 535m
ZIPPING DECOY (2) was a dominant all the way winner over 618m last start and should have no issues stepping back to 535m tonight. Clearly the fastest beginner in the race, she will lead easily and be strong to the line. She might be short, but she should be winning! MISS SNEAKY (1) draws an inside box for the first time and will enjoy an economical run along the rails. She can fill the quinella spot.
