Cannington R4 – G3 Perth Cup Consolation 520m
KELSEY BALE (2) overcame some early interference to go down in the last stride in her heat last week and has drawn to make amends in tonight’s consolation. She is a star and just needs to get around cleanly to be too good for her rivals. RUNAWAY TO MARS (5) is a local chaser with a terrific record at the track who is capable of beginning well. He will keep the favourite honest throughout.

Cannington R6 – G1 Galaxy 715m
COUCH SURFER (4) is chasing his 9th win in a row and has the early speed to overcome the tricky box draw. He was the fastest heat winner and is the clear top pick. STAGGER OUT LEE (1) won his heat at his first look at the track from box 6 and gets the red box here. Drawn to do no work in the run, he is a knockout chance.

Cannington R7 – G1 Perth Cup 520m
This looks like a match race between two stars of the West. ELECTRIFIED (3) led all the way from box 3 last week and has won 15 from 21 over the 520m at Cannington. ELITE MACHINE (1) is the fastest qualifier and has won 10 from 17 over the trip. I think ELECTRIFIED can cross to find the early lead and hold off ELITE MACHINE in the run home. The pair can space their rivals.
