Grade 5
SHE’S OUR GAL (7) is a slow beginner and a mad-railer but I still feel this race is perfect for her tonight. She won well at Q2 a week ago over 520m when she missed the kick and went straight for the rail and proved too strong for them at the line. She has won here in 30.86 previously and should take some holding out at the finish again. Her danger may come from MOSSY BOOTS (3) who is racing very consistently and only went down by 3.75 lengths over 600m last time out. She also will be running home strongly late.
Mixed 4/5
SHARAPOVA STAR (1) is in sensational form at this present time and is exploding out of the boxes. She should lead this race easily and the only issue I can see in her winning, will be if she can run the 515m. The way she is going currently I can’t see that being an issue, as she has been very strong at the line over the 425m at recent efforts. Throw in COME TO PARTY (3) as the one that may be chasing her down the back and he has run a 29.40 here previously, so at an each-way quote, could be worth a saver.
OPEN
In what does look like an open event here, I feel TIME TO FIRE (4) who has been racing over the staying trips lately and comes back to the 530m will be suited by this race. He has run a 30.39 at the track previously and should get a nice cart into the affair by all the inside speed. He should take plenty of holding off at the end of the race. BROTHER BILO (1) is in superb form at the moment and won nicely here last time out. He should find the lead but can he hold off the blue dogs challenge late.
