McKenna Memorial Ht 2
The classy CANYA ALL CLASS (8) can bounce back after a couple of interstate campaigns. Ideally boxed out in the pink, he will get plenty of room to navigate around them early and should prove too strong over a trip he has broken 39 seconds at. The danger could come from a dog on the rise in UPSET SUNSET (4) who showed good pace at his past two runs in town. Maybe the quinella could be the way to go.
Brisbane Cup Ht 1
GOOD ODDS COBBER (2) is a very reliable beginner and from the low draw should be able to find the lead early and will prove extremely hard to run down at a track he is undefeated at. The only danger I can see is the Victorian MEPUNGA REWARD (8) who will be suited by the wide draw and will be running on well at the business end of the race.
Brisbane Cup Ht 5
TIM ZOO (6) jumped moderately last week and then showed exceptional speed mid-race to put a gap on the field and win by 7 lengths in a fast 29.21. He only needs to repeat that effort and he should be winning this heat. BORACAY STORM (1) is well suited coming out of the red box where he has never missed a place in 10 starts. Does appear to be the only dog that could give Tim Zoo a run for his money.
