GREYHOUND TIPS – THURSDAY 23rd JULY

STARLIGHT RIOT (1) should be able to bounce back tonight after going down last week when she missed the kick. From the red box where she is unbeaten in three starts, she should be able to hold them out at the first corner and take off from there. If she lands on the arm, she will take a power of catching. Her danger could be CULBURRA (2) from the stripe, who has run second in her past four runs and should get the nice cart through early on.

I think we can start the card at Sandown Park tonight off with a winner in BOLD ASSAIL (3). This dog has put together a picket fence of wins lately and won his heat last week in the brilliant time of 34.02. He should find the lead from the white box and give them something to chase throughout. The red SNOW ROAD (1) also won her heat but was around 4 lengths slower. She did lead from the same draw throughout in that race and shouldn’t be far away again.

LATE IN WINTER (1) has had two runs back from a let-up and looks ready to find the winners list again after drawing the coveted red box tonight. He usually shows tremendous speed at box rise and should be able to find the arm by the first corner. He has previously run 29.44 and has a superb record from the inside box winning 4 times. He should be very hard to catch. The danger will be RITZA TIANA (3) who ran 2nd to her kennelmate in the Peter Mosman recently but has missed the placings the past couple. It wouldn’t be a surprise if she bounced back here.
