Greyhound Tips – Thursday 22nd January

This looks like a nice race for FALSE WITNESS (1) to bounce back onto the winner’s board. Races well from inside draws & although he is not a great beginner, he does like to rail through at the first corner. Last start he just failed to catch Better Light Up here in 29.99 after finding trouble just before the final corner and storming home late. No excuses tonight he should prove hard to hold out DESTROYING (8) looks the main danger on his past runs in much harder company although is much better suited closer to the rail and he may find it hard to cross from the pink but he is a smart pup.

ZIPPING ZADEN (7) had no luck last week in the Golden Sands final over 600m, not seeing any clear air until about the 150m mark and then he flew home through the field for 4th behind Miss Envy. Even though he has never been up to this longer distance as yet, he has always looked like a stayer in the making and this looks a nice race for him to kick off in. His likely opposition will be the classy Victorian in FADE TO BLACK (2) who beat Ayden’s Warrior at Sandown a fortnight ago and he should race up on speed and be the one to catch.

PAW OSWALD (1) has won 7 races from this coveted red draw and he should be hard to topple again tonight. Likely to be able to burrow up along the rail and hold them all out at the first corner and if he does so and repeats that effort of a fortnight ago when he ran 29.14 he should be able to win again. A roughie that could get into the money at decent odds is WEBLEC BILLY (7) who is a slow beginner but will be getting home at the business end of the race & can run into the placings without surprise.
