Greyhound Tips – Thursday 16th April

AMRON DANCER (8) has won three races over this distance here at Sandown and looks well suited to add another one tonight. He is usually safe at the box rise and the wide draw doesn’t seem to be a problem for him here with a couple drawn inside him wanting to crash to the rail, this should give him a nice cart into the first turn. He should prove extremely hard to beat. His danger could be GALENTO (1) who ran 3rd in a Geelong Cup heat last week. He is a good beginner who will punch up early, and potentially lead, but he could be susceptible late.

Forget that KING OF GODS (6) went around here last week after stumbling at the start and giving them a big start. He still ran solidly behind Star Turn who is very hard to catch when on the bunny. He has run 29.71 around here and if can reproduce that form, he will take plenty of holding off. His danger could be the pink dog MUSTANG HAYZE (8) who ran 2nd in that same race last week. She generally shows pace, so the wide draw should not be a disadvantage.

In this exciting edition of The Sandgroper this year, tipping WINSOME JET (1), the Keeping Kennels slot holder, to show his brilliance from the red box tonight and take away this year’s big prize. He was a solid winner at Wentworth Park last start after a trip to Cannington for the Perth Cup where he finished 2nd in the heat & consolation. Should get a gun run from the cherry tonight. His  main danger will likely be DISTINCTION (3) who has been in sensational form for the Thompson kennel lately.
