Greyhound Tips – Thursday 15th January

Grade 5

ANGLE PARK Race 2 (530m) 7:21 pm

UTTER MADNESS (1) has been flying of late and looks the one to beat back in a Grade 5 at Angle Park. He has strung two together at Murray Bridge over the past couple of weeks and from the coveted red box should find the arm with ease and add another one to his tally. BOOM BOOM JACK (2) is very consistent and usually spots the leaders a start but he should get a nice run into the first turn here behind the red dog and he will be strong to the wire.

Golden Sands Final

Q2 PARKLANDS Race 8 (600m) 10:12 pm

In this year’s edition of the Golden Sands it has gathered together a top quality field of superstars of the middle distance ranks. I’m going with some value in the Victorian ELECTRIFY (2) who chased Miss Envy throughout last week in his heat and just failed to get there at the post. That was his first race over the distance and I’m sure he will benefit from that outing. He should be at an each-way quote and should give you a great run for your money. Danger is likely to be the track record holder in JAY WALKING (7) who has taken all before him over recent starts and he looks well boxed out there in the seven.

Grade 5

SANDOWN PARK Race 6 (595m) 8:25 pm

CACO MAGIC (8) is having his first start over the mid-distance at Sandown tonight but this lightly raced son of Feral Franky broke the track record at the Meadows three starts ago running 33.91 and then went to Sale and won a heat of the Cup before running unplaced in the final behind Without A Trace. From the pink box he should be able to cut and run coming into the first corner and then it will be a matter of times and margins. MEPUNGA LARA (3) does look like the main opposition to him as she has been contesting staying events of late and has had a slight freshen up for this 595m race so is likely to run well over the shorter trip.
