Greyhound Tips – Thursday 11th June

HE’S A PEARL (5) looks to have hit his form again for the Jason Thompson kennel. He looked a little off his tucker a month ago with a couple of lack-lustre efforts, but he seemed to be back with a blistering 5.02 early split at The Meadows Saturday night. If he repeats that again, he should be able to lead and dominate again from the front. His main opponent will likely be the pink dog in PAW OSWALD (8) who continues to race well week in week out and should be highly competitive again.

CUMBRIA CHRISSY (1) has drawn her box tonight in the prelude to the Brisbane Cup. She was just beaten in an Ipswich Cup heat two runs back and then drew an outside box in the final, which didn’t suit her. She has never missed a place from the coveted red box and she should take plenty of holding off at the business end of the race. Her danger looks to be the Victorian ROSS THE BOSS (3) who won well here last start in 29.68 but he tracks wide in the run and will give the red every chance.

OFF THE CHART (6), the winner of this year’s Golden Easter Egg makes his debut here in Queensland and should be able to get the cash in his heat of the Flying Amy. He has had a freshen up since a disappointing run at Sandown Park and that should motivate him to race well throughout the series. He has tremendous early speed and will only benefit from getting a cart across early from CANYA TALK NOW (5), who should be his main danger in the race, but can the young pup who is only having his fourth race start withstand the pressure of a seasoned dog like the Off The Chart. Only time will tell!
