Greyhound Tips – Thursday 11th December

4th/5th Grade

WENTWORTH PARK Race 3 (520m) 7:35 pm

FALSE WITNESS (1) had no luck here last week when after jumping well, got squeezed out at the first corner but ran home powerfully to grab second at the line. Is usually a fair beginner who I feel will hold up this week from the red box and should get the gun run throughout and prove hard to hold out at the business end of the race. RED ROCK RAZZLE (5) has been mixing it with some nice types of late and is racing very consistently. Could give them something to chase from the squeeze box if he gets the start right but I would prefer him over a slightly shorter course.

Free For All

SANDOWN PARK Race 8 (595m) 9:31 pm

VINCENT BALE (1) looks very well suited here in this middle distance event after drawing perfectly in the cherry. He has won four times from the draw and has won 2 out of 3 over track & distance. He’s capable of leading this field at the first corner and if he does, they will have their work cut out to catch him. His main danger should come from PASS MARK (4) who won well over the 715m on Melbourne Cup night and then backed that up by winning at The Meadows Saturday night. Drawing the squeeze he may find early trouble but will be strong late.

OPEN Grade

Q2 PARKLANDS Race 2 (710m) 8:03 pm

GOLDSTAR PRADA (2) has been scintillating in her past 2 wins here in graded events and steps up to open class here tonight. This shouldn’t pose an issue as she is in fine form and although she gives away a start, her back half of the race is explosive and has been running away from her opposition down the straight for comfortable victories. She will likely be chasing STOWAWAY (8) who is drawn inside out but can still land on the arm from the outside and if anything goes wrong in behind, will prove the dog to run down.
