ZIPPER ON TIME (1) has drawn perfectly in the red for tonight’s heat of the Cup. She won the Laurels last week when she held off the fast finishing Dashing Slay. Although the time was only 29.43, she will go quicker this week and put a space on them early on. She looks like the winner on paper. VALEDICTORIAN (8) looks the danger, although he is very lightly raced and taking on this class for the first time, he has plenty of upside and should get a nice cart into the race from the pink.

MALLEE BEAUTY (6) drew the coveted red box in the Top Gun and looked quite disappointing when only running third as an odds on pop. She is much better suited drawn wider on the track and this box draw in the green suits her perfectly. She likes room to move early and then comes crashing down to the rail and with PAW OSWALD (5) drawn inside her, she will come out with him and accelerate, so expect her to be able to cross the yellow at the first corner. The yellow pup is racing very well and will give her a run for her money but Mallee is all class and I feel as though she will bounce back.

ZIG ZAG MAN (4) gets back headquarters tonight and drops back to a grade 5 race for the first time in many a month. He’s not the greatest beginner but has a big engine and if given any clear air, he will run all over these. Last two runs at Wentworth Park, he has run second to Power And Glory and Cumbria Jack. He looks the one to beat. The one he will likely have to catch in the run is UNLEASH BEETSON (2) who has been racing well here over recent weeks but he will need to have a big lead to hold off Zig Zag Man.
