Greyhound Tips – Saturday 22nd August

VODKA AND ICE (2) drops back slightly in class here tonight after finishing 6th behind Boom Bam Ranger in the NSW Distance final last week after having no luck throughout the race. He loves an inside box as he is a mad railer and he only needs to be close to his best to be the one they will have to hold off at the business end. His main danger could be SIN CITY BANDIT (7) who ran second in that same race and although she is a model of consistency. I feel the stripe has the better map in this race.

MR. THOMAS (8) looks very well placed here to bring up his third win at The Meadows tonight. He has won four races from the pink box and should be able to stay wide and out of early trouble which will enable him to whip around them going into the first corner and go for home. He has been a model of consistency over recent weeks and deserves to collect a winner’s cheque tonight. The big boy RATTLER (2) could be his main rival, after a couple of recent second-place finishes here and he will be around the mark again.

This looks like a perfect race for GOLD FORCE (7) to get another win on his resume. There is plenty of pace in the race with the blue & green speed machines but both will struggle to see out the 457m, which will give Gold Force the perfect cart into the race. He should prove far too strong for his rivals from the corner and watch the clock when passing the post. The danger could be SHOUT OUT SHAZAM (8), who will also get a nice run into the race from the pink although his best is over a slightly longer disatnce but he will be rattling home late.
