Greyhound Tips – Saturday 20th December

In a very even edition of this year’s The Collerson, sticking with PAW OSWALD (5) to get out a touch better than last week and be too strong for them at the finish. Joanne draws inside of him and she is usually a clean breaker, so I would expect him to get the nice cart into the first turn and take over from that point and be hard to stop after that. TANK KEEPING (1) from his favorite box will be the hardest for him to hold out as he has won 4 from 5 from the red box and will be burrowing up at the first corner, although he is yet to break his drought here at headquarters.

TAORMINA (2) looked back to her brilliant best last week in her heat when she landed in front and held them all at bay to win by 2.5 lengths in 29.57, at her favorite race track where she has won 15 races. When she strikes form she usually goes on with it and I feel she can find the arm again tonight and prove the one to beat again. Her danger will be SOOTY KEEPING (1) drawn inside her and has won 8 from her 9 starts from the box, so she looks be the hardest to beat but she usually takes a step or two to gather momentum, so she will likely be giving Taormina a start at that first corner.

Going to be hard pressed to be able to beat TRAUMATISE (1) after his brilliant track record run in his heat last week setting that new time of 29.36. If he brings that form to the final, he should be winning again but he can be a tad hit or miss at box rise. I am tipping him on top as his form indicates another win is on the cards in this years Silver Chief Final for the Thompson kennel but just in case something does go astray, have a saver on ELECTRIFY (7) who won his heat last week with a powerful finishing burst,. He is a dog on the rise and if he has any luck in the run, he will be in the finish at the business end.
