Greyhound Tips – Saturday 18th April

Grade 5

THE MEADOWS Race 8 (730m) 9:05 pm

This looks like a nice race for IRISH MILLIE (3) to get back into the winners’ circle tonight. She hasn’t won around The Meadows but has run plenty of good races. In her past three races she has faced Lightning Quick, Electrify and Mepunga Donna, all of whom would start as favorites in this race.  The pace will likely be set by her main danger, BAFFERT (4) who is a query at the 730m and our girl will be staying on strong. Hopefully tonight she gets that elusive win tonight.

4th/5th Grade

Q1 LAKESIDE Race 7 (457m) 7:13 pm

Like the look of OLIVER GO (6) dropping back from Free-For-All class. This mixed grade 4/5 should suit him perfectly. Last time out he chased home Daysea’s Rory who was Queensland Greyhound Of The Year being beaten 5 lengths by him is not a bad effort. He hasn’t seen the 457m for a while but previously won from the pink box over the trip in 25.88. He should be the one to beat with a good start early. His main danger could be FAST EDDIE (3) who is a model of consistency and always gives his all. Should be right in the mix again.

4th/5th Grade

WENTWORTH PARK Race 5 (520m) 8:25 pm

BLACK MYTH WAVE (8) looks the best of the night here at Wentworth Park. He has won 5 races from the pink box and enjoys some room to move early on. Once he gets balanced he has a very nice motor and he should be able to work to the lead at the first corner. From that point, it should be time and margins please judges. Throw the old boy SAMMY ETHAN (3) into your exotics, he may be a price going back into a graded event, after recently competing well in Masters grade.
