Greyhound Tips – Saturday 11th October

CLEO’S STAR (8) just looks too quick for her rivals. She ran a first split of 5.03 last week and if she can jump like that again, she should be able to cross easily at the first corner and that should just about be the race over. Her danger could come from JILL’S JULIETTE (3) who chased hard behind Cleo’s Star last start and got within 4 lengths when they crossed the line. Will need some luck to turn the tables but if anything does go wrong, she can cause a boilover.

BAREFOOT ZULU (6) looks to be getting back into form after campaigning well over at Angle Park in the Adelaide Cup heats and David Geall seems to have got the boy back to his brilliant best. He is generally a good beginner and will likely land on the lure and if he does, he will take plenty of running down in a Grade 5 event. His danger could come from directly outside him in PRISON BREAK (7) who will get the cart across and has been racing in fine fashion at Healesville and Sandown Park over recent starts.

BACK TOMORROW (1) looks extremely well suited, drawing her box in the red tonight. She is a good beginner who should be able to take full advantage of the rail and either lead at the first corner or be right up on speed. She has run 29.86 around this circuit and should take a power of holding out. Her danger will likely come from JOANNE (7) who beat her two runs back from an inside draw. She won’t get such a favorable run into the race this time and will likely have to come from well behind our on top selection.
