Albion Park R1 - FFA
With 7 wins from his last 8 710m runs, RED DIRT ROAD (8) is the up-and-coming staying star in Queensland. He has consistently been breaking the 42 second barrier at the Creek and has the speed to find the early lead. Anything around the $3 mark is well over the odds. VALPOLICELLA (7) is the undisputed queen of the stayers but she has been mixing her form of late. He best is clearly good enough, but I expect her to get crossed early, and with that in mind, the $2 looks well under the odds.
Sandown Park R9 - FFA
FLYING ZULU (7) is arguably the best sprinter in the land and should have no problem recording his 4th win in a row here. He will enjoy a nice cart across before putting on the afterburners down the back. watch the clock. FRED ROSE (2) won at big odds last week and has drawn to do no work in the run. He can fill the quinella spot.
Dapto R7 - $75k Megastar Final
GETS LATE EARLY (1) pinged the lids, led all the way from box 1 in her heat last week, and gets her favourite red box once again. I think she can hold the early lead, making her hard to beat at a nice price. POWER AND GLORY (4) was the fastest heat winner last week from box 4 and draws awkwardly once again. He is well above average and should feature in the finish with luck in running.
