Sandown Park R5 – Launching Pad SF 1 515m
STARLINE EXPRESS (4) was run down in the shadows of the post at his first attempt of the 515m at Sandown Park last week and has the early speed to cross from the awkward draw tonight. He will strip fitter for last week’s run and is the clear top pick. ZARIE MARIE (8) was a best-of-the-night winner last week but will find things tougher from box 8 here. She will be hard to catch if she crosses, but the box draw is a big query.

Sandown Park R7 – Launching Pad SF 3 515m
VICTA ALBY (1) was a strong heat winner from the red box last week and has drawn the pole once again tonight. He will enjoy a good run throughout the race and the $5+ on offer looks well over the odds. METEOR MONELLI (2) is racing in career best form and was explosive at box rise last week. The pair look set to battle out the finish.

I’m tipping an upset in Semi Final 4. CANYA EXCEED (6) has won four from five and was terrific when leading all the way last week in a personal best time. He continues to meet every challenge and looks a great chance at a great price. HECTOR FAWLEY (5) powered to the line from back in the field last week and will be hard to hold out with luck in running. Can he keep in touch with the leaders early on?
