Hobart R8 – G1 Hobart Thousand 461m
FERNANDO MICK (2) was a brilliant heat winner last week in best of the night time and has drawn ideally in box 2 for tonight’s Group 1 final. He ticks all the boxes and is the clear top pick. PAUA OF BUDDY (8) was another who impressed when a 4+ length heat winner from box 8 and draws the pink box once again. He will keep the favourite honest and is the main danger. The pair can space their rivals.

Angle Park R8 – Open 530m
BOBBY AXELROD (4) has won 7 of his last 8 and has enough early burn to overcome the tricky box 4 draw. If he can get across he will put a space on his rivals and get the prize. KARMEN KRISTY (2) loves it at Angle Park and can expect to get all the favours in the run. She will close strongly late.

Albion Park R11 – Masters 520m
DRINK LONGNECKS (1) had no luck when copping interference from box 6 last week and his form prior to that has been very good. Drawn the rails tonight and the fastest beginner in the race he looks well over the odds at $4+. He can lead all the way. LILY MONELLI (8) is a much-travelled dog who always gives her best. She has a better record from inside box draws and while she is likely to jump favourite, I am happy to oppose her.
