Wentworth Park R3 – Grade 5 520m
ROCKSTAR APOLLO (2) is looking to make it 4 wins in a row tonight and from box 2 he can find the rails before the first turn. He will be strong to the line and is the clear top pick. WINLOCK PIPER (1) has run good times at Wenty in the past and will enjoy an economical first half of the race. He will be hard to hold out with luck in running. The pair can battle out the finish.

The Meadows R7 – Grade 5 525m
ROSIE’S NO ANGEL (6) was a best-of-the-night winner at Sandown Park last start and will appreciate the vacant box to her immediate inside tonight. Expect her to find a good spot in the run and power to the line. APPLICANT (1) is a flukey beginner who pinged the lids to win by 11+ lengths last month before missing the start at some of his more recent runs. If he finds the lure from box 1, they won’t catch him but I’m taking him on at the short price.

Cannington R5 – Listed Summer Chase Final 600m
JIMMY ROCKS (3) gave nothing else a chance when leading all the way in his heat last week and with a couple of slow beginners drawn to his inside tonight, he can repeat that victory in tonight’s Final. The $4.50+ on offer looks well over the odds. COLUMBUS MONELLI (2) had no luck from a wide box last week and can improve sharply from the better draw. He looks the danger in what looks an interesting race.
