The Meadows R5 – FFA 525m
ASTON LIRA (1) had no luck from a wide box draw last start and will appreciate being drawn on the rails tonight. If he can hold the early lead he can power away from his rivals. ASTON TANGO (4) was an all-the-way winner at Sandown Park recently and gets a vacant box to his outside. He is the danger.

The Gardens R12 – $500k 715 715m
A top class will battle it out for $500 in the 715. ZIPPING ORLANDO (2) was a Group 1 winner last month and won well at his first run in 20 days last week. He will strip fitter for that run and is the clear top pick. PALAWA KING (1) has won his last 3 and has a big motor when he gets warmed up. He will hard to hold out with luck in running. The pair can battle out the finish.

Cannington R6 – Open 380m
BLACKPOOL BOLT (1) is a super consistent chaser who is drawn perfectly in box 1. He is a reliable beginner and has a great record over the 380m trip. The $3.50+ on offer looks over the odds. DAPH’S YAK (8) is chasing a hat trick of wins and will be hard to catch if he can cross to the rails. Box 8 is his main concern.
