Murray Bridge R6 – Grade 6 395m
MARLEE JAYE (1) is an explosive beginner who was run down in the shadows of the post over 531m at Gawler last start. The drop back to 395m looks ideal and from box 1 she should have no problems finding the early lead. They won’t catch her! The lightly raced MALLEE DREAMER (5) won by 9+ lengths on her first try over 395m last week and is getting better with each run. She is the danger.

Shepparton R8 – Mixed 3/4 400m
AUSSIE SECRET (4) is a star chaser who has a better than 50% winning strike rate and is in great recent form with six wins from his most recent eight starts. A quick beginner, he will appreciate the empty box to his outside and can lead all the way. Bad luck looks his main danger. SMART AS JACK (1) has battled at his most recent runs but has won five times at the track and distance. From box 1 he is one to include in exotics. The pair can space the rest.

Hobart R7 – Grade 4 461m
ASTON AJOK (7) exploded onto the scene in Tassie earlier this year, winning seven of his nine runs since moving from Victoria. Resuming tonight after a short let up, he only needs to be close to his best to get the prize. RIP AWAY (5) won well at Hobart last time and is showing plenty of promise. He can capitalise if the favourite doesn’t bring his “A Game”.
