Racing writer, JUSTIN DEVINE, looks at tonight’s meetings and singles out his best racing tips for tonight’s Geelong, Richmond and Mandurah meetings. Good luck, punters!
Geelong R7 – Mixed 4/5 460m
AUSSIE SECRET (3) has won eight of his last 10 and an impressive career record of 29 wins from 54 starts. An explosive beginner he is drawn to find the lure and lead all the way. If he jumps cleanly it is all over! ASTON TITAN (2) drops back in grade after an unplaced run in the Group 2 Healesville Cup last start. He is capable of making a race of it. The pair can space their rivals.
Tip: AUSSIE SECRET @ $1.90
Richmond R8 – Grade 5 535m
FLIGHTY FERNANDO (1) was a best of the night winner over 400m last week and steps up to the 535m trip for the first time tonight. From box 1 he can get out to a big lead down the back and hold on in the run home. FLASH HEART (5) drops back in distance from the staying trips and will find the line strongly. He looks likely to fill the quinella spot. .
Tip: FLIGHTY FERNANDO @ $1.50
Mandurah R7 – FFA 490m
QUARTARARO (7) is a track and distance specialist who has gone down at his two most recent starts as an odds-on favourite. He will enjoy a nice cart into the race tonight from the speedy OH MY WORD (5) and can get back onto the winner’s list. OH MY WORD can ping the lids and will give them something to chase. He is one to include in exotics.
Tip: QUARTARARO @ $1.50
