AFC Bournemouth v Brentford
Brentford continue to be one of the Premier League’s most underrated sides. The Bees have collected seven points from their opening three matches and already own impressive results against Tottenham and Brighton. Well-drilled defensively and deadly on the counter, Thomas Frank’s side know exactly who they are.
Bournemouth remain without a win this season. They’ve been competitive in every game, but competitive doesn’t pay the bills in the Premier League. Losses to Manchester City and Newcastle either side of a draw with Everton leave the Cherries searching for answers.
Most importantly, this fixture has been one-way traffic. Brentford have never lost to Bournemouth in the Premier League, consistently finding success against a side that struggles to handle their physicality and directness. The matchup has suited the Bees for years, and there’s little to suggest that changes here.

Chelsea v Hull City
Hull City’s dream return to the Premier League has been one of the stories of the early season, but this is another step up in class. The Tigers have already claimed memorable victories over Manchester United and Coventry, proving they’re far more competitive than many expected. However, trips to Stamford Bridge are a different proposition entirely.
Chelsea’s attack is beginning to click under Xabi Alonso. The Blues have been among the league’s highest-scoring teams through the opening rounds, with their ability to create chances from multiple sources making them a nightmare to defend against.
One of the biggest beneficiaries has been Morgan Rogers. The summer signing has settled seamlessly into Chelsea’s attacking setup, constantly finding dangerous positions between the lines while contributing both goals and assists. His movement and ball-carrying ability have added another dimension to an already dangerous frontline.

Hull should make Chelsea work for their chances, but sustaining defensive concentration for 90 minutes against this much attacking quality is a difficult task. With Chelsea expected to spend long periods in the final third, we’re backing Rogers to continue his bright start to life at Stamford Bridge.

Tottenham v Everton
Something has to give here. Tottenham finally got on the board last week after a miserable start to the season, but questions remain over whether Roberto De Zerbi’s side can consistently turn possession into results. Everton, meanwhile, continue to be one of the league’s toughest teams to break down, even if goals have been hard to come by at the other end.
Spurs have struggled for rhythm all season and still look vulnerable whenever opponents attack directly through the middle. Everton are organised, disciplined and more than happy to sit deep, frustrate opponents and turn matches into a grind. That’s exactly how we see this one playing out.
Tottenham should dominate possession at home, but Everton have the defensive structure to limit clear-cut opportunities. At the same time, the Toffees don’t possess enough attacking quality to be trusted outright away from home.
With both sides carrying flaws and neither looking particularly reliable, the most likely outcome is that they cancel each other out.

Manchester United v Manchester City
The Manchester Derby arrives with the two clubs heading in very different directions. Manchester City have looked every bit the title contender through the opening weeks of the season. Enzo Maresca’s side have won three straight league matches, scoring freely while continuing to control games through their trademark dominance of possession.
Manchester United, meanwhile, have been difficult to trust. After suffering a shock opening-day defeat to Hull City, United responded with a big win over Ipswich, but consistency remains the major concern. Against elite opposition, defensive issues continue to surface and those weaknesses are often exposed when facing the league’s best attacking teams.
That’s a dangerous prospect against City. Erling Haaland and the rest of City’s attack are beginning to find their rhythm, while Maresca’s side have shown they can win matches in multiple ways. Whether dominating possession or breaking quickly in transition, City possess too much quality across the pitch.

Leeds United v Newcastle United
Two of the Premier League’s unbeaten sides clash at Elland Road, and both will fancy their chances of extending that run. Leeds have made a strong start to the campaign, picking up positive results against Nottingham Forest and Brentford while showing the defensive discipline that has become a trademark of Daniel Farke’s side. They’re difficult to break down, but they’ve also found ways to contribute going forward.
Newcastle arrive unbeaten and full of confidence after a strong opening month. The Magpies have picked up impressive results already and continue to look dangerous going forward, regardless of the personnel changes they’ve undergone in recent transfer windows. This matchup points towards goals.
With neither side likely to sit back and both entering the match in good form, backing both teams to find the net looks the best angle.
