The 2025-26 Premier League season kicks on into Matchday 35, and we’re here with five top-shelf EPL tips for the weekend ahead.
Arsenal v Fulham
With an opportunity to go six points clear back at the top of the EPL table, Arsenal must get past Fulham less than 72 hours after a fiery encounter with Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
A lot of the historical numbers work in the Gunners’ favour heading into this one. Fulham are on a three-game winless and scoreless run on the road and have never beaten the team starting the day at the top of the table in an away game. Meanwhile, Arsenal haven’t lost any of their previous 32 games against Fulham – the longest streak for any team against a single opponent in English football history.
But Matchday 35 is a new day, and Fulham have plenty to play for to finish the season; only two points separate them from sixth spot and European football. They get Arsenal at a good time, too. The Gunners are under fatigue and have won only two of their last eight games – neither by more than a single goal.
Arsenal’s defence, conceding only 0.76 goals per game, should steer them to victory. Regardless, it’s difficult to imagine a shootout between these two right now.

Manchester United v Liverpool
Michael Carrick looks set to lead Manchester United to Champions League qualification thanks to a Top 5 finish in the EPL. While it’s not guaranteed just yet, three points here over Liverpool will all but confirm their place.
Carrick’s influence is undeniable, and his case to be the long-term manager is strong after winning eight of his 12 games in charge. While the Red Devils have only won two of their last five, they carry fine form into Matchday 35 after Casemiro and Benjamin Sesko scored to beat Brentford 2-1. The expectation is for more goals in this one, too.
In contrast, Arne Slot is only 12 months removed from winning the EPL title and is no certainty to last at the club beyond this season. Liverpool has disappointed overall following a big summer, and Slot hasn’t been able to get the best out of his signings after winning with what many called Jurgen Klopp’s squad last year.
Hugo Ekitike and Mo Salah’s absence will hurt. Alexander Isak’s inconsistency doesn’t guarantee success in front of goal either. However, Liverpool have gone unbeaten in 13 of their last 15 matches against United.
With the Red Devils playing well at home to collect the third-most home points in the EPL this season, that helps to level out Liverpool’s recent success and directs us towards a stalemate.
Burnley v Leeds
Burnley are already locked into playing in the Championship next season and have lost four games on the bounce. They’re halfway to their off-season holidays already. Leeds, on the other hand, are close to being a mathematical lock for EPL football.
Typically, 40 points is the magic number to avoid relegation. But with four teams around that mark heading into the final month of the season, teams might need more than the usual 40 points in this one.
Leeds United can’t afford to let an opportunity to earn three more and rise to 43 points here. They’re in a strong position to do so as home favourites. They’ve gone 5-1-1 as home favourites while Burnley has struggled in general away from home, winning only two of their 17 fixtures. Unbeaten in five games heading into Matchday 35, expect Leeds to make it six.
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Sunderland
Time in the EPL is running out for Wolverhampton Wanderers. They’re locked in for relegation and the confirmation has done little to inspire an improvement in results as they fell to Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 last week. If you can’t beat Spurs in their current capacity, you’re probably not beating any team in the league.
Wolves played three games last month, without picking up a point, scoring no goals, and shipping eight. As much as we’d like to get behind them to go out of the Premier League on a high, they simply don’t have the squad to do it – even against a Sunderland outfit fresh off a 5-0 hammering at the hands of Nottingham Forest.

Newcastle v Brighton & Hove Albion
Things are going from bad to worse for Newcastle United as their four-game losing streak has seen their European hopes go up in flames. They’ll take on an in-form Brighton & Hove Albion side here, too.
Brighton’s 6-1-1 run has put them in a strong position to secure a spot in the Europa League next season. They’re unbeaten in their last five meetings with the Magpies to boot.
Newcastle need to stop the rot. Eddie Howe is under pressure and their Saudi investment has suddenly come under the microscope, putting doubt over their future. Having struggled with the intensity of playing EPL and Champions League football throughout the first half of the season, there are signs of fatigue with four games of the domestic campaign to play.
A draw helps neither side, and is already unlikely. Newcastle’s inability to secure draws at home has played a leading role in their drop down the table. Howe’s side has drawn only two matches at home this season, losing seven and winning eight. Meanwhile, Brighton have split the points only five times in their 17 away matches.
Expect both teams to throw everything into it for the full 90 minutes, as nothing less than three points will do for either side.
