The 2024-25 Premier League season kicks on into Matchday 28, and we’re here with five top-shelf EPL tips for the weekend ahead.
Liverpool v Southampton
The EPL title is Liverpool’s to lose, and they’ll understand the importance of picking up points against teams they should. With only two wins to sit at the bottom of the table, Southampton are one of the worst in Premier League history.
Led by Mo Salah, who is climbing the list of most assists in a season, Liverpool have scored a league-high 66 goals.

In fact, Salah’s 25 goals – to go along with 17 assists – is more than Southampton’s 19 goals in total this season. To make matters worse for the visitors, Saints have conceded the most goals in the EPL with 65 in 27 matches.
There are 58 points separating the two teams on the table heading into this one. It’s the biggest difference between two teams coming in to a Premier League match since July 2020 when Liverpool (86) beat Aston Villa (27) 2-0 at Anfield. With Liverpool winning 11 of their last 13 against Southampton, and Saints winless in their last nine away trips against Liverpool, we’re expecting a similar result.

It has been a bright period for both Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton of late.
Everton are unbeaten in their last seven. David Moyes has been a revelation in his return to the club. Not only is Everton out of the relegation zone, they’re slowly climbing the EPL ladder and looking for a top-half finish.
Wolves have played well with Matheus Cunha in fine form. They’ve won three of their last five in all competitions to be playing out one of their better periods this season.
Cunha scored a screamer from distance in the FA Cup, but ended the game on the sidelines before being subsequently suspended for this one.

Wolves are heavily reliant on Cunha. He’s the heart and soul of their attack at the moment. It’s difficult to imagine how they’re going to trouble Everton who haven’t had a problem going foward themselves. With two teams on the up meeting here, Everton is the pick to continue on that trajectory.

Brighton & Hove Albion have their eyes on European football following an excellent run of recent form. They’ve beaten Chelsea twice, Southampton, Bournemouth and Newcastle United in their last five games in all competitions.
However, Fulham will take confidence out of their 3-1 in the last fixture between these two. While they’re at home this time around, Fulham’s scoring goals at will on the road. They’ve scored in each of their last 12 away matches in the EPL, scoring twice in each of their previous six. It’s their longest run of 2+ goals on the road in top-flight history.
The Cottagers have taken all of the points in each of their last six away matches and are unbeaten against Brighton in their last nine.
While Brighton is the better side at home and should be too strong on the day, there is too much working in Fulham’s favour to write them off entirely.
Bet Now Fulham to Win or Draw @ $1.70Crystal Palace v Ipswich Town
While we can respect how hard Ipswich Town play and the desperation to stay up they play with, Crystal Palace are a great option here.
Palace have won eight of their last ten matches, including their last two at Selhurt Park. It took Crystal Palace a few weeks to start their EPL season, but as a team we tipped to finish in the tip half of the table, it’s not a surprise to see them play into form.

Oliver Glasner’s side has beaten the Tractor Boys 1-0 once already this season. Meanwhile, Ipswich have won only one game against teams placed 12th or above on the EPL table this season.
Without a win so far in 2025, it’s difficult to see Ipswich ended that streak in this one.

We’re buying West Ham on the up here.
They’ve won each of their last two games with Graham Potter starting to leave his fingerprints on the side. Their 2-0 win over Leicester is their first back-to-back win in almost a year. The Irons remain at 15th on the EPL ladder, but there is hope for a promising finish.
Graham Potter has lifted morale and intensity in training sessions. He is building West Ham in his image and WILL be backed by the board this summer.

Conveniently, they meet a Newcastle side playing out an important week. Newcastle will surely have one eye on their EFL Cup Final against Liverpool early next week. They’ll play without Anthony Gordon in this one as well following his red card last weekend. In contrast, West Ham are expected to welcome back Lucas Paqueta and Vladimir Coufal.
Aston Villa will be saying all of the right things despite the natural eye cast on their next game. Whether or not they do, while already being an inconsistent team, is worth investing in West Ham.
