The 2025-26 Premier League season kicks on into Matchday 30, and we’re here with five top-shelf EPL tips for the weekend ahead.
Manchester United v Aston Villa
There is an argument for Bruno Fernandes as the best player in the EPL right now.
Michael Carrick is deservedly receiving plenty of praise for turning Manchester United around since taking over as manager, but it’s Fernandes who has executed the plan on the field.
He’s the most dominant creative force in the Premier League. Operating as a classic No. 10, he leads the EPL in assists (14), Expected Assists/xA (8.5), chances created (92), big chances created (22) and key passes (76).

Aston Villa arrives at Old Trafford for this one and presents as an excellent defence for Fernandes to continue his hot form. The United midfield should control the tempo at home, and against a Villa defence that plays aggressively and high, Fernandes will have opportunities to expose them. If not in open play, he thrives in set pieces, too.
It all points to Fernandes finishing with a goal or assist in this one.

Arsenal v Everton
Arsenal are heavy favourites to win the title, and significant $1.35 favourites to pull three points closer to lifting the trophy with a win over Everton on Matchday 29.
Unbeaten in 11 matches in all competitions, Arsenal is arguably the best team in world football. They’re not always the most entertaining. However, their style of play lends itself to a positive result in a scheduling spot a lot of other teams might stumble.
Arsenal has less than 72 hours to travel back from their Champions League fixture and lace them up again in the EPL. Meanwhile, Everton have had 11 days off to rest, recover and refine.
Given how Mikel Arteta has his team playing at the best of times, it’s safe to assume a slow, grinding game here. The Gunners dominate possession to starve the opposition. Their control of the game will help in a squad that could be running on heavy legs late.
They’re a brick wall in defence. Arsenal has conceded only 22 goals this season – the fewest in the EPL. David Raya, as a result, leads the Golden Glove race with 14 clean sheets. With a good chance to make it 15 here against an offensively limited Everton side of late, expect Arsenal to win to nil.

Chelsea v Newcastle
We’re cheering for goals, regardless of which net they land in here.
Chelsea’s Joao Pedro is in superb form, to have scored five goals in his last five matches and 14 for the season. Meanwhile, Cole Palmer is fit, firing, and looking better the more games he strings together on the field.
The Blues attack is firing to have registered a 4-1 win over Aston Villa. Meanwhile, Newcastle displayed encouraging form to earn an impressive 2-1 win against Manchester United.
Stylistically, these two teams coming together profiles as an open, back-and-forth game. While Chelsea should dominate possession by moving the ball quickly to stretch the field, Newcastle are well-equipped to exploit that approach. They’re dangerous on the counterattack and put themselves in position to turn a match in seconds.
With Chelsea’s in-form attackers and Newcastle’s ability to punish teams on the break, we’re looking for Over 3.5 goals.

West Ham v Manchester City
West Ham are still in the relegation zone, but with Tottenham crashing and burning before their eyes, there is light at the end of the tunnel should they find a result.
The Hammers haven’t always earned a point, but they’re arguably the best-performing team of the bottom five in the EPL of late. However, they come up against a Manchester City side that is almost on its last legs in the title race. After dropping points to Nottingham Forest on Matchday 29, they can’t afford to do the same here.
City don’t have a problem scoring goals. Even when failing to beat Forest, they still scored twice with Semenyo and Rodri finding the net. Add Erling Haaland to the mix, and they’re once again one of the most potent attacking forces in the EPL.
Haaland leads the Golden Boot race with 22 goals this season, outperforming his 20.7 expected goals. His 1.9 shots on target per 90 minutes ensure he’s always in the mix to score. He will be confident going up against a Hammers defence that has conceded 54 goals in 29 matches this season – the second-worst mark in the Premier League behind Burnley.
Goals won’t be a problem, but fatigue might be after City played Real Madrid at the Bernabéu during the week. With tired legs and a West Ham team desperate to score and climb out of the relegation zone, both teams to score is the play here.

Liverpool v Tottenham
Tottenham Hotspur are the talk of the EPL for all of the wrong reasons at the moment. Igor Tudor has done nothing that Thomas Frank couldn’t have done to avoid relegation since taking over as manager. In fact, he’s arguably made things a lot worse given the results and general commentary he has about the playing group.
There has been a suggestion that Tudor’s time with Spurs will come to an end with defeat against Liverpool. That could yet play on the minds of the players…

Losers of six on the bounce for the first time in club history, the backline will more than likely be further depleted for Matchday 30. Christian Romero and Joao Palhinha suffered a clash of heads late in the 5-2 thrashing at the hands of Atlético Madrid, which might yet impact the team sheet.
Liverpool isn’t at their best, but they’re still within touching distance of Champions League football. They’ll be smarting after a defeat to Wolves in the league and should handle a horrible Spurs side at home with relative ease.
