The 2025-26 Premier League season kicks on into Matchday 27, and we’re here with five top-shelf EPL tips for the weekend ahead.
Arsenal v Tottenham
As a North London derby featuring league leaders Arsenal, this match is always one to keep an eye on. However, with the chaos at Tottenham, the sacking of Thomas Frank and the welcoming of Igor Tudor, this is must-watch television.
The markets provide a clear indication of how this game is likely to end. Arsenal have already cleaned up Spurs once this season and are $1.52 favourites to take all three points from this one, too. Despite paying $5.75 to cause an upset, there isn’t a price that truly appeals given Tottenham’s home form this season.

Some will speak about a ‘new manager bounce’, but it isn’t reliable. What we can trust is Tudor’s intensity. He demands a lot from his players physically, with one journalist relaying, “his philosophy is simple: if you don’t run, you can’t play.”
Tudor himself has mentioned what he wants to see from his players, and the derby is a prime opportunity:
“In modern football, physicality cancels out quality so much. Quality is always important, of course, but without physicality, it doesn’t exist.”
Whether it proves to be successful and translates into league points, we don’t know. However, expect to see a different Tottenham. One that looks set to pick up a few cards as they look to find the right balance in intensity.

Brentford are quietly putting together a good season behind strong form at home. Now 6th on the EPL table and only four points back on Chelsea in 5th, they’re one of the best teams in the league despite not often being mentioned as such.
They picked up a key win over Newcastle on Matchday 25 and held Arsenal to a 1-1 draw in the next. Overall, they’re playing with the sixth-best home record in the EPL with seven wins in their 12 matches.
Meanwhile, Brighton & Hove Albion are barely hanging on. They’ve shipped out their best players and have a manager who won’t be there when this season ends. While little risk of being relegated, the Seagulls don’t have a lot to play for further up the table either. They’ve particularly struggled away from home to have only two wins on the road this season. They’ve failed to find any consistency and now face a Brentford outfit on the up.
Sometimes, the simple answer is the right one. Superior form and home ground advantage should be enough for Brentford here.
Chelsea v Burnley
Chelsea are resurgent under Liam Rosenor. He has shifted their attacking focus to possession with purpose and unlocked the very best out of Cole Palmer once again.
“Cole Palmer has now scored three hat-tricks before the break in the EPL, having also done it twice in 2024. He’s the first player ever to do it three times and is also responsible for three of the last four instances.” – Palmer’s Masterclass
For better or worse – as the case was against Leeds – all of Chelsea’s last four games have seen Over 3.5 goals scored. It looks as though we might see the same here despite some of the season-long Burnley numbers.
🏴🎯 Cole Palmer has scored 18 penalties in the Premier League.

Burnley are awful and even worse away from home. They’ve averaged only 1.2 goals per game away from home this season and have only two wins. However, at 19th on the EPL table on only 18 points, Burnley is in ‘must-win’ territory. If they’re any chance of staying up, they need to be taking all three points.
Injuries to the backline on both sides prompt the idea of goals. So too does the need for Burnley to abandon their defensive shape and chase the game – at least early on.
It’s a game Chelsea should win at home. Worst case, they share the spoils. But regardless of the result, we look set to see goals.

Everton v Manchester United
Manchester United are still on the up despite their 1-1 draw with West Ham. Michael Carrick has changed the look of the team, and while there has been some reliance on the energy from a home crowd, there is no doubt they’re a better team now than under Ruben Amorim.
They’ll need to be after losing to Everton 1-0 in the reverse fixture at Old Trafford and a man advantage for 77 minutes. David Moyes installed a defensive block and will likely do the same here.
While Carrick has sparked improvement, their draw with West Ham may have offered a glimpse of where they can be beaten. The Hammers played with a disciplined and narrow defence, similar to what Moyes and Everton will apply in this one.
Everton ranks best in the EPL in clearances and dominates in the air. United will need more than the monotonous crosses they offered West Ham in their last match. If nothing else, the value is in the home side. United have won just two of their nine games when favourites away from home. Backing the hosts against fragile favourites here is the play.

Sunderland v Fulham
Sunderland is a home and away team. They boast a 7-5-1 record at the Stadium of Light and look like a different team from that on the road. The newly-promoted side has fought to mid-table based on their results at home. It’s not a padded record either. Saints have played host to Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool and Aston Villa in generating their promising home record.
Meanwhile, Fulham have been poor on the road. They’ve lost eight games away already this season and three on the bounce.
Sunderland’s defence looks as though it will be the difference. They’ve kept eight clean sheets this season and five at home. Only Arsenal and Manchester City have been better on their own turf.
Again, in the home and away difference, Sunderland concede only 0.77 goals per game at home and 1.54 away. Given that Fulham have gone nine games without keeping their opponents from scoring, and average only 1 goal per game scored, it’s a prime opportunity for Sunderland to pick up three more points at home.
