The 2025-26 Premier League season kicks on into Matchday 25, and we’re here with five top-shelf EPL tips for the weekend ahead.
Manchester United v Tottenham
Manchester United will come bouncing into this match as the only top-flight team unbeaten in 2026 on the back of three consecutive wins under Michael Carrick. They’re playing with confidence and scoring goals. Tottenham Hotspur, on the other hand, are teetering.
It looked as though Thomas Frank might be out of the job after his side trailed Manchester City 2-0 at halftime in Matchday 24. However, with Dominic Solanke producing a wonder goal to bring the scores level, Frank has another chance to solidify his role.

He will need to overcome early-game struggles against a fast-starting Red Devils, though.
United have generated a +7.6 expected goals difference in the first half of games this season. In contrast, Tottenham are -3 xGDiff before oranges. Goals tend to fly into one goal or another before the break when Spurs play. The Over 0.5 goals market has hit in the first half of each of their last 22 EPL matches.
With both teams more than capable with the ball and Tottenham’s tendency to concede early, backing Manchester United to be leading or level with both teams to score is a high-value play.

Wolverhampton Wanderers managed to end their horror winless run against West Ham on January 4th, but haven’t won again since. They’ve also lost their last three EPL matches against Chelsea by an aggregate score of 12-3.
It’s a terrible spot for Wolves who have already lost to the Blues 4-3 (EPL Cup) and 3-0 (EPL) this season.
Chelsea’s fans aren’t particularly impressed with the direction of the club overall under new ownership. The ambition of the man with the money and fans in the stands doesn’t align. Still, they’ve found form on the pitch with Liam Rosenior looking to become only the second English manager in EPL history to win his first four games in charge as $1.65 favourites against Wolves.
Expected to win, the value is in Chelsea to win to nil at $2.87. Wolves have failed to score in each of their last three Premier League matches, and have scored in only 11 of their 24 this season. Playing at home hasn’t helped. Wolves have found the net in only four of their last seven in the league at Molineux, scoring three of those on five shots against West Ham in the win. Converting only two of 59 shots in the other 13 halves of football in that time, they’re unlikely to score in either half here.

It’s the main event of Matchday 25 as Liverpool play host to Manchester City.
Both teams are in scoring form. Liverpool thumped Newcastle 4-1 last week while City put two past Tottenham before capitulating in the second half.
Defensively, however, neither side is at its best. City has conceded 23 goals this season – a high mark for a team always in contention for the title. Meanwhile, Liverpool’s inability to challenge for back-to-back titles hinges on the 33 they’ve conceded.
Florian Wirtz recorded just three goal involvements in his first 21 games for Liverpool, all assists.

The recipe is for goals in this one.
Liverpool’s front line is clicking into gear while City remain as the top scorers in the EPL with 49 goals (alongside Arsenal). The situation of the match lends itself to goals, too.
City can’t afford to settle for a draw if they want to remain within touching distance of Arsenal at the top. A draw does little for them with Arsenal hosting Sunderland as $1.22 favourites. The gap will more than likely extend with anything other than a win for the visitors.
Given City’s last push, their defence fractured by injuries and Liverpool’s front line starting to score goals, this looks like a shootout.

In the same way that Liverpool v City is a potential turning point of the season at the top of the EPL table, this is a relegation six-pointer at the bottom.
“Burnley and Wolves are nailed on to drop down to the Championship at the end of the EPL season at $1.01 after Matchday 24. However, a log jam is slowly building from 16th to 18th.” – Fighting Off Relegation
Leeds (16th, $7 to be relegated) and Nottingham Forest (17th, $8) look set to play out a slugfest.
The stakes are high, and teams can become afraid of losing these matches. It’s likely to be a cagey and physical battle given the situation and numbers coming in. Both teams average roughly one goal per game at the best of times and won’t want to commit too many bodies forward in this one.
Playing on the road without Chris Wood makes life difficult for Forest. Toothless in attack already, they’ll be hard-pressed to get past a Leeds defence that has to be smarting after conceding four to Arsenal. Picking one goal and the bus being parked, Leeds to win to nil is the way to go.

Newcastle are struggling at the moment. Inconsistent throughout the season, their 4-1 defeat to Arsenal signifies their toughest period to date. Manager Eddie Howe is dealing with a crisis that affects every line of the pitch and there isn’t the depth in the squad to keep up.
With two heavy defeats in their last three games at home, St James’ Park isn’t the fortress it once was. They’ll play hosts on the back of a tough 3-1 defeat to Manchester City this week, too.
In contrast, Brentford are well-rested and performing well away. They managed to fight for a win with 10 men on the road against Aston Villa. With Igor Thiago up front, they’re well-positioned to push Newcastle here as well. Thiago is the second-highest scorer in the EPL with 16 goals and $2.05 to find the net in this one.
Brentford have lost 2 of their last 5 games yet still sit 4th in the form table…
If that doesn’t tell you how fiercely competitive this league is I’m not sure what will.

There isn’t a lot to split them on the table, which highlights the pre-match prices. $3.25 for Brentford to win is too good to pass up, given the form of the two sides and the closeness, even with both at their best.
