The 2025-26 Premier League season kicks on into Matchday 23, and we’re here with five top-shelf EPL tips for the weekend ahead.
Bournemouth v Liverpool
Liverpool don’t look like they did last season, but are on the up recently. They’re unbeaten in 12 games across all competitions to at least be getting the results if not doing it looking all that impressive. Their draw with Burnley last week made it four on the bounce in the EPL. Of concern, they failed to score in two of them.
However, they face a vulnerable Bournemouth here. They ended an 11-game winless run earlier by beating Tottenham, but we shouldn’t read too much into that result. Spurs love to play down to the level of their opposition and, overall, Andoni Iraola’s men are struggling.
Arne Slot’s job has come into question but their away form and attacking output is enough to install Liverpool as heavy favourites. They’ve managed 33 goals in 22 matches and and face a Bournemouth outfit with only five clean sheets all season. Bournemouth are attack or nothing to average 1.59 goals per home game and 35 goals across the season. Like Liverpool, they’ll be licking their lips at the defence in front of them. Slot’s side have conceded in 15 in 22 matches which is the catalyst to so much of the pressure being heaped on the manager.
It’s a result that could go either way given the scoring focus of the two, but we can rely on goals being scored.
Bet Now Over 3.5 Goals @ $2.31Crystal Palace v Chelsea
Chelsea moved along Enzo Maresca before Liam Rosenior secured a dream start to his time in charge with a 2-0 win over Brentford. Based on Oliver Glasner’s comments after Matchday 22, he’s looking to take a similar path to Maresca.
“I feel we are being abandoned completely. I can’t blame any player. They did everything they could and this has been going on for weeks and months now.” – Glasner Gone
It’s been an awful few weeks for Palace. As FA Cup holders, they were knocked out of the competition by lowly Macclesfield. Glasner soon confirmed his departure at the end of the season just as Marc Guehi secured a move to Manchester City. Jean-Philippe Mateta is likely to be the next one out the door.
Manchester United are keen on signing Jean-Philippe Mateta if he becomes available.

With players leaving and the Eagles out of form, without a win in their last 10, beating an upstart Chelsea is a tough task.
With wins over Brentford at the weekend and Pafos mid-week, Rosenior has the group singing off the same hymn sheet in the wake of Maresca’s departure. They’ve scored 12 goals in their last six matches while Palace have managed only three in their last five.
It’s a game Chelsea can’t afford to let slip.
Bet Now Chelsea To Win @ $2Arsenal v Manchester United
Arsenal are favourites to win the EPL title and are ahead of Manchester United in the underlying metrics. However, some of those metrics should be taken with a grain of salt after what we saw from the Red Devils last week.
Michael Carrick inspired arguably their best performance in years to beat Manchester City 2-0. While some of the uptick in form can be attributed to the interim manager, United were due to start picking up a few results. They sit 5th on the EPL table but rank 3rd on the xG table, under-performing expected points by 3.2.

Arsenal are on a more sustained run of form having collected four wins and three draws in their last six matches. Across the EPL season as whole, they have the best non-penalty xG difference in the league at 1.73 xG for and 0.89 xG against. Throughout their last ten matches, the Gunners are averaging 2.5 goals per game at home and have scored a least once in nine of those ten matches.
It will be difficult for this potentially new-look United attack to break them down regardless of the confidence they’ll take into this one. Still, we should back them to score at least one. One goal brings in the double chance for a result, too. With Bruno Fernandes leading the EPL in big chances created, he will play a pivotal role.
Bet Now United or Draw & BTTS @ $3.50Newcastle v Aston Villa
The schedule is directing us towards Newcastle win against Aston Villa on Matchday 23.
Newcastle played at home against PSV on Wednesday and haven’t left Tyne-side since. They’ve not only gained an extra day, but have spent all of their time at home. Aston Villa, on the other hand, traveled to Turkey to play Fenerbahce and are preparing to play this match only three days later.
We should expect fatigue to play a park already. Add Newcastle’s reputation as one of the most intense pressing teams in the EPL and they look set to capitalize on tired legs.
Playing away from home is of concern for Villa. They’ve exceeded expectations overall and are contenders, albeit outsiders, in the title race. However, their numbers on the road aren’t of title-contending quality. They’ve lost the xG battle in eight of their 11 away fixtures this season. In contrast, Newcastle have won it in nine of their 11.
Expecting to see Newcastle make it 10 from 12, they should take all three points in the process.
Bet Now Newcastle To Win @ $2Burnley v Tottenham Hotspur
We’ve tried to buy low on Tottenham Hotspur a couple of times this season, but this feels like the right spot.
Their 2-1 loss to West Ham is surely rock bottom. It can’t get any worse for Thomas Frank who left the field to chants of “you’re getting sacked in the morning” from his own fans. However, with the signing of Conner Gallagher and an impressive 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League midweek, Spurs are on the up.
Playing away from home suits them in this spot, too.
They’ve collected a remarkable 67% of their points in the EPL away from home this season – the highest share in the league. Historically strong against promoted teams, it’s all pointing in their direction.
To much of fans’ frustration, Frank’s side has proven capable of controlling the game without the ball away from home. They lean on counter-attacks when the onus is on the home team to be more aggressive in attack. With Dominic Solanke back in the side and better for the run during the week and Gallagher a chance to add some quality in the midfield, Spurs should win their 12th game in 14 attempts against promoted sides since May 2021.
