It’s not the result Bournemouth were looking for against relegation-bound Burnley, but their 0-0 draw extends their unbeaten to 10 matches as they apply pressure to the Top 6 and play for a spot in European football.
Brighton & Hove Albion jumped into the top half of the EPL table, leaping ahead of Sunderland, with Yankuba Minteh scoring the only goal at the Stadium of Light. Having gone unbeaten in their first 12 matches at home, Sunderland have now lost three times in front of their own fans.
Arsenal moved another step closer to the EPL title while Max Dowman became the youngest goal scorer in Premier League history by scoring the second in their 2-0 win over Everton. A Jordan Pickford error gave the Gunners a late lead. With it, Dowman scored in an open goal – with Pickford up the field for a corner – on the break to finish the game.

Anthony Gordon put a dagger in Chelsea’s hopes of featuring in the Champions League as Newcastle ran out 1-0 winners. Having let leads slip in home draws to lowly Leeds United and Burnley, this defeat has seen them slip out of the Top 4.
On the topic of dropping points, no team is dropping more from winning positions than Manchester City right now. This time, West Ham caught them napping to earn a much-needed point. Now nine points back from Arsenal at the top, City will need to recreate their 2013-14 season, where they became the only team to win the title from nine points behind after 30+ games.
Despite playing almost half of the game down a man after Gabriel Gudmundsson was sent off, Leeds United hung on for a point in their 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace. They perhaps should have won with Dominic Calvert-Lewin missing a penalty in the process.
Bruno Fernandes and Manchester United continued to strengthen their case for a Top 4 spot with a 3-1 win over Aston Villa, with all four goals in the match coming after the break.
Nottingham Forest started their Matchday 30 encounter against Fulham in the drop zone but pulled themselves out with a 0-0 draw with Fulham. While they needed the point, that’s now seven EPL matches without a win for the Tricky Trees.
Similarly, Tottenham Hotspur faced the drop before Richarlison scored a 90th-minute equaliser at Anfield.
Lastly, Wolverhampton Wanderers kept their slim hopes of staying up alive with a 2-2 draw against Brentford. Wolves fought back from 2-0 down to scramble a point to show the sort of fight that will more than likely be too little, too late.

Brilliant Bruno
His antics on and off the field often overshadow his brilliance for many watching at home, but in this sort of form, there is no doubting Bruno Fernandes as one of the best players in world football right now.
With two more assists on Matchday 30, Fernandes set a new Manchester United record for EPL assists in a single season, passing the legendary David Beckham. Fernandes also became only the third United player in the EPL era to record 100+ goals and 100+ assists in all competitions, joining Wayne Rooney and Ryan Giggs as the only others – fair company.

Casemiro benefited from a Fernandes corner to flick home the opener. Later, Matheus Cunha made the most of a perfect through-ball to score what ended up as the game winner.
Cunha’s goal made it 16 assists for Fernandes and a fifth consecutive home win for the Red Devils under Michael Carrick. They’ve collected 22 of the available 27 points since he took over, and now sit third on the EPL table.
Tudor Remains
Igor Tudor doesn’t present as the right fit for Tottenham Hotspur under the dire circumstances.
He’s come in and rubbed the playing group up the wrong way for the most part. However, with egos aside and the very realistic prospect of relegation staring them in the face, Spurs responded with a 90th-minute equaliser to earn a crucial point at Anfield.
Tudor, finally, offered some positivity in the press conference:
“(It was a) good team spirit, seeing the circumstances the team was in today coming here at Anfield with 12 players (absent). So this is something big. We stayed in the game, we believed, I felt that we could score the goal, the players also felt it, so it’s nice.”
Spurs need all the positivity they can get as one of only two teams in England’s top four tiers to be without a win in 2026.
In a surprise to nobody that follows the club and is aware of their quality, going back to basics helped: a 4-4-2 formation, deep in defence, counter-attacks and long balls. With Tottenham slight $2.40 favourites to beat Forest on Matchday 31, the basics should be enough to take the three points.
Andrews Fuming
Up 2-0 against bottom-of-the-table Wolves, Brentford let a gift three points slip, which left manager Keith Andrews fuming by the end.
“Yeah, very frustrated. The first half I thought we played well.
“I think when you’re talking about us in the same breath as Chelsea, that’s obviously pretty good considering there’s only eight games left of the season.
“But the reality is we could’ve produced more, and I think we need to be honest with that and look at ourselves and the second half display and why we produced that.”
This marks the first time Brentford failed to win a league game after leading by 2+ goals in 37 matches. While they earned a point, Brentford’s 45 points for the season leave them four behind Liverpool at fifth. Given Liverpool’s shock draw, this match had the potential to apply genuine pressure on the Top 5. Instead, the pressure is now on Andrews’ men as $2.65 outsiders to beat Leeds United next week.
