A weekend of late goals kicked off with Beto scoring in the 97th minute to earn Everton a point against Brighton & Hove Albion. It looked as though the hosts would pick up a second win in 11 EPL matches but gave up two points late.
Arsenal made sure to apply pressure on those teams trying to keep up with them at the top of the table with a convincing 4-0 win over Leeds United.
Leeds manager Daniel Farke summed things up succinctly post-game:
“We have to accept that the better team won this game. We faced the best side currently in Europe. Why this team is the best team in Europe. You need a perfect day to give you the best chance, and a bit of luck.”
Wolverhampton Wanders remain 17 points from safety and $1.01 to be relegated following their 2-0 defeat to AFC Bournemouth. Meanwhile, West Ham are still well and truly in a relegation battle at $1.36 to drop. They earned a prime opportunity to pick up three points when 2-0 in front of Chelsea at halftime. Even after conceding twice in the second half, the Hammers should have collected at least a point. However, Enzo Fernandez completed the comeback for Chelsea with a 92nd-minute winner for the home side.

Liverpool dominated from the outset to thrash Newcastle 4-1 at Anfield. Hugo Ekitike continued his impressive EPL season with the brace before leaving the field to a standing ovation. He now has ten goals for the season to be the youngest Liverpool player (23 years and 225 days) to reach double figures in a season since Michael Owen.
Aston Villa are back to struggling in front of goal. Their fleeting period as title contenders ($51) is over following a 1-0 loss to Brentford.

Manchester United have forgotten how to lose, making it three wins on the trot under Michael Carrick. Fulham should have earned a point after fighting back from 2-0 behind, but Benjamin Sesko’s goal in the 94th minute handed all three to the home side.
Morgan Gibbs-White scored in the 5th minute to put Nottingham Forest in front but Crystal Palace found an equalizer on the stroke of halftime. With Neco Williams sent from the field in the process, the Tricky Trees did well to scramble for a point with 10 men in the end.
It won’t happen often, but Arsenal fans cheered as Tottenham’s Dominic Solanke scored what will end up as one of the best goals of the EPL season.

His scorpion kick erased a 2-0 Manchester City lead for Tottenham to finish level, and for Thomas Frank to end Matchday 24 still in charge.
Finally, Sunderland cruised to a 3-0 win over Burnley who fall further away from safety.

How Much Time Should Frank Get?
Thomas Frank seems to have survived another week in the EPL following a Dominic Solanke brace to rescue a point against Manchester City. The boos heard around the ground as the team walked off at halftime suggested this could be Frank’s last game in charge. It’s difficult for a club not to take action when the fans are this far offside.
However, while the result affords him some grace, zooming out on the situation should afford him more.
Tottenham went into Matchday 24 without 12 injured players. Only 12 senior outfield players were fit, which included Radu Dragusin who hasn’t started a match for over a year.
These aren’t just squad fillers either. James Madison is a key part of the squad. Dejan Kulusveski hasn’t even played a game for the club since Frank took charge. That in itself is worth mentioning when making a reasonable assessment of Frank and his future.
With Spurs out at $4.20 to finish in the top half of the EPL table, it might not matter in the end. Frank has plenty of excuses, but if the results don’t start to turn, excuses are all he will have for his time at the club.
United Keep Winning
The more Manchester United wins under Michael Carrick, the more difficult the decision around him as the long-term manager becomes.
The Red Devils made it three wins in as many EPL games under the caretaker manager. Including in his first spell as caretaker, United have won four of their five matches with Carrick on the sideline.
This time, they took a halftime lead and turned it into three points to continue one of the great streaks. Manchester United have never lost an EPL game at Old Trafford when leading at halftime – 304 wins, 26 draws, 0 defeats.
By putting him in strong positions and doing the same with the players around him, Carrick is getting plenty of help from Bruno Fernandes. He set up two of United’s goals in this one to mark 12 assists for the season – his joint-most in a single campaign.

While it felt like United would never escape the clouds of a bleak future under Ruben Amorim, they all of a sudden have Champions League football in their sights. It Carrick leads Manchester United to a Top 4 finish at $1.80, they might not have a choice but to give him the job long term.
Fighting Off Relegation
Burnley and Wolves are nailed on to drop down to the Championship at the end of the EPL season at $1.01 after Matchday 24. However, a log jam is slowly building from 16th to 18th.
In losing 4-0 to Arsenal, Leeds are only six points clear of the drop alongside Nottingham Forest. While West Ham still have a lot of work to do to climb out of the bottom three, they look like they’re improving on the pitch.
They gave up a prime opportunity to close the gap, but there being an opportunity in the first place is encouraging and a marked improvement on their recent performances.
As $2.15 favourites to beat Burnley on Matchday 25, now is the time to bet on West Ham to avoid relegation and look for value elsewhere.
