GOLD RUSH

ASCOT Race 9 (1400m) 5:32 pm

I’m going to send Damien Oliver off with a win in the Group 3 Gold Rush in tipping MUNHAMEK to bounce back into the winners stall. Drawn out in the car park, that shouldn’t affect this guy as he will go back anyhow and I’m certain Damien will be giving him a peach of a ride. Third up now in this preparation, he should be ready to run a big race.

THREE-YEARS-OLD PLATE

ASCOT Race 1 (1400m) 12:29 pm

STORMCHASER looks to one of the better bets on the Ascot program. Last start ran a solid third in the Listed Lee Steere Stakes and is dropping significantly in class today. Box seated last time out and loomed largely but his run just peaked late. Should be fitter for that and should prove the one to beat.

LOUGH NEAGH STAKES

ASCOT Race 9 (1400m) 4:32 pm

FAR TOO EASY ran third to Front Page in this years edition of the Kozciusko at Randwick back in October after coming from near the tail of the field and going down only by 2.3 lengths. Had a tick over trial at Ballina to ready for this assignment and he should prove extremely hard to hold off in the run home.

BM78 Handicap

CAULFIELD Race 4 (1400m) 1:55 pm

RUNNING BY was first up last time out after being off the scene for 8 months when he ran second at Lakeside to the promising South Of Houston. He got to the line nicely over the concluding stages and the step out to the 1400m looks perfect for him second up into his preparation.

BM70 Handicap

CAULFIELD Race 7 (1200m) 3:40 pm

The James Cummings trained JAMBALAYA was a soft winner at The Valley at his debut after jumping well and dictating the terms of the race. He looks to be extremely promising and with Jamie Kah on board again, he should make it two out of two in this field.
