Best Bets – Wednesday February 12th

The two Team Hayes gallopers have both been backed in fact are the best two backed in the race so quinella them, They are Rose Diamond and EMMCEE. And I’m on the latter because Blake Shinn rides and he should lead. That’s an advantage because he is 3rd up, tougher now and ready to improve on his 3rd in this grade after leading last start.

They have come from the clouds and jumped out of trees to back MARKDEL overnight in this. He resumes here, Blake Shinn to ride, has placed three times at this grade and is ready to go bang. Excelindeed should lead and hang on for 2nd.

This looks a race in two between the odds-on pop Bremel and the Godolphin colt TSAVO. He was well beaten on debut but he’s still a colt and there has been considerable money for him overnight so I am tipping a vastly improved run. This is also a weaker field. Bremel was backed in town on debut and ran a good 4th. Quinella them all day.

I suspect this is a drop in class for OUR LITTLE STAR who has raced 11 times thus far and still not won a race. That’s not an encouraging stat but a few of her starts have been in Super Maidens which are traditionally much stronger than this. And, she has placed in town. I think off this draw she lobs in 2nd spot spending no energy and just outkicks what isn’t a strong field.

This bloke POWER OF THE BRAVE is a bit enigmatic but he’s 3rd up here, extremely well weighted, down in grade and should go forward. He boasts better form than these but also has run some shockers, last start for example. Put that down to 2nd up syndrome. Should run a lot better and overnight betting agrees with me.
