Best Bets – Saturday 5th July

KNOBELAS is a very progressive type who won in dominant fashion last time at Sandown Hillside and was very impressive winning her maiden on soft ground at Pakenham too. She looks well and truly above average and feel they have found a very winnable race for her to get a Saturday metro win. Looks one of the better bets of the day.

OH TOO GOOD was extremely impressive winning last start by 3 lengths over Jimmy The Bear who ran home well for second. Although is drawn off the track, she is quite versatile, winning and placing from on-speed or back in the field. She drops 3kgs from that win and appears well suited to get the money again.

VODKA MARTINI came back from a spell winning the Lightning Handicap at Eagle Farm last time out in fine fashion. Has never missed a place second-up and only needs to run up to that fresh effort to be extremely hard to toss again.

Going to give WARNIE one last chance to get back into the winners list. Was held up behind them at Ipswich and never got a real crack at them at any stage. Draws off the track, although that’s not a problem this time, hopefully he gets a nice cart into the race and look for him to be getting over the top of them when it counts. 

MISS SKYHIGH is third-up today and looks very hard to stop over the mile here with William Pike on board. She is a very consistent mare who was only beaten narrowly at her past two runs and this race looks ideal for her to break back into the winners stall.
