Best Bets – Saturday 5th April

Liked the first-up run of ROLL ON HIGH when she was at the tail of the field and ran home powerfully but just couldn’t reign in the winner on the line. The step up to 1400m will suit and she should take some holding off this time around.

The lightly raced CILACAP should prove hard to stop in the Easter Cup.This three-year-old has plenty of upside compared to her rivals and she won with plenty of authority at The Valley last start. Looks a good each-way bet. 

RHYTHM OF LOVE has been trialing nicely in NSW prior to coming north for his first-up assignment. Last season he did run 2nd to Roll On High here in the Fred Best and loves wet tracks. Look for a big run fresh.  

Looking for some value in the last at Eagle Farm with COMRADE ROSA. She has a good fresh record and will appreciate being back home after a Melbourne campaign last year. Should get a nice sit on the speed and look for her to be finishing all over them at the finish.

SAIL SESSION certainly looks the one to beat in the Melvista Stakes after a super impressive victory when proved far too strong for them in the J.C Roberts last time out. Looks like a quality stayer in the making and he should be too good for this field.
