PISCES won the Blue Sapphire very impressively last start at Caulfield. He was put to sleep behind them and when asked for the supreme effort, he accelerated nicely and put pay to them quickly. Looks suited to the mile and will be hard to beat.

ARAPAHO ran a fantastic race in the Group 1 Champion Stakes during the carnival behind Via Sistina when this 8yo gelding sat back in the field and worked home stylishly late down the outside to finish 5th beaten only 6 lengths. If he can reproduce that kind of run, he will prove very hard to hold out at the finish.

Will be having something each-way on ROLL ON HIGH in the penultimate race at Caulfield. Last time out she sat back in the field and just couldn’t get into the race at any stage. Slightly smaller field here and if there is any rain around during the day, it will suit her well. Can see her running over them if the pace is on.

From the ideal low draw, LADY LAGUNA looks nice each way odds in the Group 1 Winterbottom. Her last two runs she has finished 3 lengths off both Bella Nipotina and Sunshine In Paris. James McDonald has come across for the ride and with her main opponent in Overpass drawing the car-park, I can see her camping just off the speed and being a little too strong for them at the run to the line.
