THE QUOKKA

Ascot Race 8 (1200m) 3:45 pm

OVERPASS won this race last year over Amelia’s jewel and has returned for another tilt at The Quokka. Going off his last run when second in the T.J.Smith at Randwick, he looks to be flying and certainly looks the one they will have to beat again.

KARRAKATTA PLATE

Ascot Race 7 (1200m) 3:00 pm

YES QUEEN, who has finished second at her past two starts this campaign, looks extremely tough to beat here in the Karrakatta Plate. Was drawn off the track last time and went back before rocketing home to go down by a whisker. From the draw, she should be more prominent and prove the one to beat.

BM100 HANDICAP

The Valley Race 5 (1519m) 2:40 pm

SUPARAZI is third-up today and looks ready to get back into the winners’ stall. He got a long way back and powered to the line over the concluding stages last start. The step up in trips suits and look for him to be hitting the line hard late.

BM78 HANDICAP

The Valley Race 8 (2040m) 4:30 pm

At juicy odds, might have something each-way on the Busuttin & Young trained SUNSETS. He is third-up here and should be fitter for his recent appearances. Last time out, he worked through them and led briefly in the straight before holding on quite well. At the price, is worth a play each way in an open event.

BRISBANE MILE

Eagle Farm Race 8 (1600m) 3:47 pm

PORT LOCKROY has been beaten by Steffi Magnetica and Gringotts in his two runs this campaign. This is a much weaker race and although he has drawn off the track, he only needs an ounce of luck in the run and his class should take him a long way. Looks extremely hard to beat.
