Going to have something each-way on WONDER BOY in the CS Hayes Stakes. Got back in the small field last time and worked home well late. Should go back again but the 1400m looks ideal at this stage of his campaign and he should give you a sight at odds.
LIGHTNING STAKES
SWITZERLAND looks the one they will have to beat in the Black Caviar Lightning Stakes. Won the Coolmore down the straight impressively in the Spring and only needs to bring that form first-up and should be winning again.
DESIRABLE STAKES
In an open event, I’m leaning towards the New Zealander in CAPTURED BY LOVE to get back into the winners stall. She was running home well and finished close up in the Railway Stakes at Ellerslie last start. The drop back to fillies class and the 1400m looks ideal for her and she should prove hard to beat.
TWO YEARS OLD CLASSIC
Having something on last start winner in STRIDEAWAY to win the Magic Millions Two Year Old Classic at Pinjarra. Sat just off the speed last time at Ascot and proved too strong for them final stages. Has a chance for a similar map and could prove the hardest to beat in the run home.
THREE YEARS OLD HANDICAP
WAKU WAKU won at her first start at the Sunshine Coast impressively coming from midfield and proving far too strong for them over final stages. The rise in trip looks ideal and expect her to be extremely hard to beat again.
