Best Bets – Saturday 14th September

Hard to see them beating VIA SISTINA in the Makybe Diva Stakes. The first up run winning the Group 1 Winx Stakes was a ripper and she will have taken plenty of  benefit from that outing. From the draw, she will get the cart behind the speed and look for her to be the one running over them at the line. Looks extremely hard to beat.

Going to give COMRADE ROSA another chance after tipping her last start when finishing 6th at Caulfield. She has much better barrier draw and should get a nice trip in behind the speed. She worked home steadily last time without threatening, but with the extra fitness on her side, she should prove a nice each way play.

TRIBECA STAR was first-up last start at Sunshine Coast and he put them away easily when asked for the effort final stages. James Orman sticks with him here and drops 3kgs in weight for that run. He will be giving them a start but if he is within a few lengths nearing the corner, he should be able to round them up and power to the line.

Looking for a bit of value to take us home from Eagle Farm in WARBY here in the last. He is drawn off the track but that shouldn’t matter to him, as he usually races from back in the field. Hopefully the speed will be on from the start and that will enable Ryan Maloney to get to the outside and run all over them.

CAPTAIN PLUTO should be ready to bounce back into the winners stall here. After a soft win first-up, he has just failed to get there his past two runs going down narrowly. William Pike on board, hopefully he can time the run perfectly today and get up in time for us to go home a winner.
